    Real Madrid 0-0 Getafe

Looks like Real Madrid have gone with wing-backs. Probably a better option than sticking a left-footed player at right-back.

Marcelo is patrolling Real's right flank with Brazilian Marcelo on the left. Still didn't go we for them last time Marcelo and Ferland Mendy both started.

Big chance. Luka Modric whips a free-kick in from the left, the ball drops invitingly for Casemiro but Sofian Chakla is over to block for the visitors.

Looks like he's taken a fair whack for his troubles.

It's 8°C in Madrid this evening. Which to be honest is positively tropical to where I live in the north of England.

Still Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is sporting a beanie to keep his bonce warm.

The visitors straight on the attack. And why not?

And yes that was Leeds United's veteran midfielder Pablo Hernandez celebrating in that last picture, when he was just a young whippersnapper.

The last time Getafe won away at Real Madrid was back in 2008.

Fabio Cannavaro, Raul, Guti, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Julio Baptista were all playing for the hosts.

All that talent and beaten by an Ikechukwu Uche goal. You'd have had to have watched it to believe it was possible.

Real Madrid v Getafe (20:00 GMT)

It's a case of making do for Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, who makes acouple of changes from their win over Huesca on Saturday. Youngster Marvin Park makes his first start and two left-backs, Ferland Mendy and Marcelo are included in his starting XI.

Aside from two goalkeepers, youngsters Sergio Arribas, Antonio Blanco, Miguel Gutierrez and Victor Chust are also included on the bench for Real.

Real Madrid XI: Courtois, Mendy, Varane, Nacho, Marcelo, Casemiro, Modric, Park, Asensio, Vinicius, Benzema

Subs: Lunin, Altube, Isco, Mariano, Arribas, Blanco, Chust, Gutierrez

Djene Dakonam is suspended but Damian Suarez, Sofian Chakla, Nemanja Maksimovic and Marc Cucurella retain their places from their loss to Sevilla at the weekend.

    Real Madrid v Getafe (20:00 GMT) & Juventus v Inter Milan (19:45)

Well actually quite a decent one.

Eden Hazard, Sergio Ramos, Rodrygo, Federico Valverde, Eder Militao, Alvaro Odriozola, Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez are all missing from an injury-hit Real line-up this evening.

And if that's not bad enough, German midfield maestro Toni Kroos is suspended.

Throw in a defender and a keeper and you could make quite a decent side from the players unavailable to manager Zinedine Zidane, who has named several youngsters on the bench. Full team news on this game to follow.

It's also the second leg of the Coppa Italia this evening. Juventus, 13-time winners of the competition, hold a 2-1 lead going into the match in Turin, thanks to a certain Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese forward is in the Juve side again this evening. I'll be bringing you updates from that one as well.

Real have scored at least four times in six of their last nine home games against Getafe.

So what hope do the visitors have tonight against the 13-time European champions....?

Welcome to our coverage of Real Madrid v Getafe.

The hosts can cut the gap at the top of La Liga, to five points with a win this evening and leapfrog Barcelona in the process (albeit Atletico Madrid would have two games in hand).

Real go into this one on the back of a 2-1 win at bottom club side Huesca on Saturday, while Getafe, who are 13th in the table fell to a 3-0 defeat at Sevilla.
