It was a horrible finish from Patrick Bamford. He was trying to feed it into the far corner but it goes well over the bar.

He was running with the ball and he tried to hit it with the inside of his foot. I don't think it bobbled, I think it was just a horrible slap from Bamford.

Dean Plumley: Jack Harrison is really some player, let's hope L, externaleeds got a fixed price when we got the loan deal.

Ivaile: So many Leeds players have been excellent for Leeds this season: Ayling, Phillips, Raphinha, Bamford and Harrison have all been brilliant.

    All Leeds.

Stuart Dallas swings another ball into the box and Patrick Bamford is there ahead of Gary Cahill, again.

He's a fair way out though and his header bounces harmlessly wide.

    Leeds 1-0 Crystal Palace

Leeds always start like this - on the front foot. They have so many versatile players - Stuart Dallas, what a player he is slotting into that midfield role. He can play anywhere.

    Leeds 1-0 Crystal Palace

Leeds move the ball around nicely but it's intercepted on the edge of the Palace box. Jean-Philippe Mateta then holds it up well, before backheeling it to Jordan Ayew.

He carries it a long way through the middle but there's not enough support up there with him.

Palace do have space on the break though.

Matt Dawson: Wait, Leeds, who play ultra attacking football, have scored in the 3rd minute? I am shooketh.

    Leeds 1-0 Crystal Palace

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Roy Hodgson will be really disappointed with the start. It was the same against Newcastle but they got themselves back in that to win.

They won't change the way they will play, they will sit in and make it difficult for Leeds through the midfield.

  14. CLOSE!published at 10 mins

    Leeds 1-0 Crystal Palace

Patrick Bamford makes a really good run across Gary Cahill and he meets the cross from the left at the near post.

He gets decent contact on the header but Vicente Guaita gets down well to parry it away to his right.

    Much better from Palace.

It's moved well down the left between Jairo Riedewald and Tyrick Mitchell. Riedewald then tries to play a one-two with Patrick van Aanholt as he carries his run on into the box but the return pass it too heavy. He ends up poking it straight at the keeper.

Leeds United will go after anyone. It doesn't matter who it is, they won't change their approach.

  17. Postpublished at 7 mins

    Leeds 1-0 Crystal Palace

Painful one for Mateusz Klich. Luke Ayling's heavy touch is intercepted and it pops out to the right.

Klich tries to change direction quickly and slips. He goes down clutching his hip but he's up and running again within a matter of seconds.

    Jack Harrison

    What a start!

Tyrick Mitchell's clearance bounces straight off Jean-Philippe Mateta and to a Leeds player in the Palace half.

It comes to Jack Harrison on the edge of the box and he strikes it well. It takes a big deflection off a sliding Gary Cahill and loops into the net.

Bit of fortune but Harrison had far too much space.
