    West Brom 1-0 Man Utd

West Brom are looking solid in midfield with Conor Gallagher, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Okay Yokuslu. All three are loan players, which is a bit Football Manager.

A win here would take West Brom to within 10 points of safety. It's a huge ask, isn't it? And that's if they hold on to win.

Not worth ruling out an Allardyce managed team until they're mathematically unable to stay up!

Kit: I’ve watched every Man Utd game this season and I’d honestly say they’ve only played well 4 or 5 times. The rest of the time they’ve been bailed out by the brilliance of Fernandes, Rashford or Pogba. It’s not sustainable.

Yokuslu's done so well so far, he's protected his back four but it's going to be a long game.

He's going to have to make sure he conserves energy when he can because it's a big step up from playing in La Liga with the intensity of the Premier League.

De Gea isn't the problem...Maguire and Lindelof are!

    Morgan

Utd are playing teams with 7 players every week - De Gea, Fred , Maguire and Lindelof are nowhere near proper Utd players and wouldn't get in any other top six side.

    Frank

Both United CB are not good enough. We have sold Evans, Keane and Smalling. All better players than Lindelof and Maguire.

    Anon

Not a lot of love for Maguire and Lindelof out there.

    West Brom 1-0 Man Utd

West Brom striker Mbaye Diagne is a handful in the air. Matheus Pereira whips in a left-wing free-kick and Diagne beats the United defence to it again but this time his header is wide.

Anthony Martial can't believe he doesn't have a corner here.

Marcus Rashford whips in a dreamy cross from the right which the fit-again Lee Peltier puts out of play with his thigh before Martial can get there.

The referee thinks Martial controlled it out of play himself so says goal-kick.

West Brom defender Lee Peltier is down getting treatment on his ankle. The 34-year-old journeyman has played most of his football this season since Sam Allardyce's arrival.

Uncle Busby: If United are to get back into this they have to keep it moving but speed it up dramatically. These long balls against a deep, packed defence will yield nothing. Poor first 15 from United but this seems to be a regular thing, still time but can’t concede again.

Abdhakeem Olayiwola: United are conceding goals in similar manner every game.

Ryan Howard: If anyone's to blame for the goal, it's Lindelöf. I feel like Man United are much more solid at the back when Bailly plays with Maguire.

United are yet to get going at all here. Great defending by West Brom's recent signing Okay Yokuslu to win the ball, spin past a United player and get it to safety.

  15. 'This is hard to take'published at 14:17 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2021

    FT: Southampton 1-2 Wolves

    Southampton

Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl told Amazon Prime: "I think we shouldn’t discuss about our run. We know what happened today, it is hard to explain, hard to explain this defeat.

"Until their penalty they had no chances at goal.

"But when you concede that penalty, I just don’t understand.

"This is a little too much for me to take to be honest.

"Why don’t we get a penalty as well? Don’t tell me the rule if it’s not the same for both sides.

"The guys worked hard but again we are hit by a decision we cannot understand."

Manchester United have gone behind seven times away from home and come back and won so they've definitely got that in their locker.

Eventually that run will come to an end. The big question is if that will end today?

Man United are rocked a little bit.

West Brom have come out of the blocks really aggressively and put Man Utd under a lot of pressure.

They have got to regroup and try and grab hold of this game and dictate.
