More than anyone else in the Premier League, Luke Shaw has benefited from having no crowd getting at him week after week....now looks a superb full back, will be interesting to see what happens when crowds return to Old Trafford.

Just give Bruno the number 7 shirt; in fact give him all the shirts.

Fernandes will get the plaudits but lately Shaw is almost unrecognisable from the player he was a couple of seasons ago.

Dan: Always find it incredible how quick people are to jump in to say how bad United have been when less than half the game has been played. And we always improve in the second half!

    West Brom 1-1 Man Utd

Since his Premier League debut for Manchester United in February 2020, only Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski (both 44) have been directly involved in more goals in Europe's big five leagues than Bruno Fernandes (38 - 22 goals, 16 assists).

  11. Too many West Brom players were ball watchingpublished at 14:54 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2021

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Middlesbrough & Fulham keeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

West Brom had been faultless, that'll be the most frustrating thing for Sam Allardyce.

From a defensive point of view too many players were ball watching. Nobody got close enough to Bruno Fernandes and if you give a player like him that kind of space he is bound to punish you.

  13. 'How can you give that penalty?'published at 14:53 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2021

    FT: Southampton 1-2 Wolves

    Southampton

Southampton midfielder Stuart Armstrong told Amazon Prime: "It’s very disappointing, first half we were good.

"The penalty decision for me, I don’t understand what you can do. He’s one yard away and he’s hit it so hard. His arm isn’t event stretched.

"I don’t understand how you can give it. It completely changes the game.

"Our run is very poor. We need to find our rhythm, again.

"We are very disappointed with how the game went and the decisions that didn’t go our way. It feels like the same thing is happening every week."

  14. 'I cannot understand penalty decision'published at 14:53 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2021

    FT: Southampton 1-2 Wolves

Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl, speaking to MOTD: "It's hard to take. It was a good game from our side but I cannot understand it [penalty decision].

"There was no chance for the opponent up to then. My team was shocked at that moment because of the decision. We can discuss about everything but at the moment I cannot think about anything else.

"The rest of the story, let others discuss it. I don't want to. I've seen it two or three times. I cannot understand."

    FT: Southampton 1-2 Wolves

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo, speaking to MOTD: "Both halves were different. We were organised without an edge on the game in the first half.

"It was a tough game as always and it was a different second half. It was a better second half that we wanted. Both wingers Adama Traore and Pedro Neto are very talented players. When they have the ball they can release this talent.

"We are insisting on getting back to playing good football. It's a process we are chasing and it's a daily one. I'm pleased for today because its a step in the right direction."

  16. 'Very proud of our spirit'published at 14:50 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2021

    FT: Southampton 1-2 Wolves

    Wolves

Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves: "The result is really important for us. We were not the team we wanted to be in the first half. This is football and we spoke about it at half time.

"The second half we were the team we wanted to be. We didn't concede any chances and controlled the game. For me it was a horrible first half. We were not able to press.

"We needed to focus. I'm very proud of our second half, the team and our spirit."

    Peter: Thank God for Bruno.

Jay: Brunooooo!!! When you think it's been a dire first half, a flash of brilliance. Maguire and Shaw combined well for the setup.

Ian: What a penalty that is. ;)

  18. HALF-TIMEpublished at 14:48 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2021

Manchester United are furious as the half-time whistle goes.

It would probably get a bit boring, watching the same goal for a whole day.

  20. 'I could watch that all day'published at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2021

    Mark Schwarzer

It's an absolutely sublime finish, it was world class.

The finish was brilliant and gave Sam Johnstone zero chance in the West Brom goal. I could watch that all day, what a finish.
