Southampton concede a needless corner after Ryan Bertrand and Alex McCarthy almost let Wolves in with a chance. That could have been embarrassing. The corner comes to nothing.

Wolves have offered little going forward.

Too many sloppy passes from Wolves. They have a throw-in deep inside Southampton's half but Takumi Minamino makes an interception and the hosts are suddenly on the attack.

Wolves have it all to do. They've reached the 30 minute mark without forcing Alex McCarthy into a single save.

Make no mistake. That was a quality goal. Wonderful technique for the volley and a belting assist to set it up. Great stuff all round from Southampton.

Saints look ever so dangerous on the counter. Danny Ings is powering forward and tries to find Nathan Redmond but Conor Coady stands his ground and makes a vital block.

By the way, Oriol Romeu has picked up another booking. No real surprise about that. Since the start of the 2015-16 season, Romeu has received 51 yellow cards in the Premier League, 11 more than any other player.

Lovely move as Danny Ings sets up a chance for Nathan Redmond who dispatches a shot which Rui Patricio does very well to turn behind for a corner. It's been a while coming but that's the first real moment of quality in this game.

It's not been a game to set the heart pumping on Valentine's Day so far.

James Warren: We need to take control of Neto in this fixture sooner rather than later. He is peeling away from his position and causing problems.

Terrible pass by Ruben Neves who is miles off target as he tries to pick out a team-mate after Nelson Semedo does so well to keep the ball in play.

Lovely link-up play between Nathan Redmond and Takumi Minamino produces the first save as the on-loan Liverpool forward digs out a shot which Rui Patrício does well to save. Was there an offside?

Plenty of endeavour from Wolves as Joao Moutinho lashes an attempt over the bar from a decent position. Decent start by Wolves. Their recent shots-on-target record has been poor and they're trying to put that right.

Willian Jose's last league goal was scored in the Nou Camp and his eyes light up as he meets a free-kick by Pedro Neto but his header flies over. I'm not sure it would have counted anyway as Jose looked offside.

No surprise that it's a tentative start by two teams out of form.

Another Wolves free-kick in a decent position but it's over-cooked and the ball rolls out of play.

It's been a scrappy start.
