    HT: Wycombe 0-0 Norwich

Wycombe are fighting - like they did in the game at Carrow Road. I still think Norwich should have enough to win this, but need to up it a fair bit.

Norwich have edged things but this isn't the one-sided affair some would've thought it would be.

David Stockdale made a great diving save to keep out a Mario Vrancic free-kick and Emi Buendia has headed against the bar for the league leaders.

But bottom side Wycombe have stuck to their task and Anis Mehmeti aruably should've done better when he latched onto Uche Ikpeazu's flick-on and dragged wide.

    Wycombe 0-0 Norwich

Anis Mehmeti nudges the ball onto his right foot just outside the Norwich box and bends the ball wide.

The Wycombe forward certainly has the potential to cause problems, but Tim Krul didn't look worried there.

  4. INJURY TIMEpublished at 12:47 Greenwich Mean Time 28 February 2021

Two minutes have been added on at the end of this first half.

Norwich are probing as half-time approaches but Wycombe are reducing the space and restricting the league leaders.

The Canaries will be hoping more spaces appear as the game goes on.

  6. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 42 mins

    Wycombe 0-0 Norwich

Emi Buendia hits the bar with a header for Norwich.

Centre-back Ben Gibson has time to pick him out in the box and it's a great looping header - it beats Wycombe keeper David Stockdale but the woodwork comes to his rescue.

It would've been somewhat ironic if a physical side like Wycombe can conceded a header to one of the smallest players on the pitch.

  7. CLOSE!published at 38 mins

    Wycombe 0-0 Norwich

    It's getting lively now.

Norwich winger Onel Hernandez cuts the ball back from the right and Scotland midfielder Kenny McLean comes onto it and sidefoots just wide.

  8. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 37 mins

    Wycombe 0-0 Norwich

Anis Mehmeti is in the thick of the action again for Wycombe.

He dribbles past Norwich's Oliver Skipp and goes down in the box - the referee isn't interested and to be honest there isn't a lot in it.

But Gareth Ainsworth and his players appeal vociferously regardless.

  9. CLOSE!published at 34 mins

    Wycombe 0-0 Norwich

That's a big, big chance for the underdogs.

Uche Ikpeazu flicks on a long David Stockdale kick but former Norwich youngster Anis Mehmeti snatches at his shot and misses at the near post.

He probably should've gone across Tim Krul but you can't blame the Wycombe forward for getting excited there.

  10. Postpublished at 31 mins

    Wycombe 0-0 Norwich

Wycombe are starting to spend a bit more time in the Norwich third of the pitch.

They're winning the odd set-piece, making a few passes and putting testing balls into the Norwich box.

The Championship leaders are certainly in a game here.

  11. Postpublished at 29 mins

    Wycombe 0-0 Norwich

In case you didn't already know, Norwich full-back Max Aarons is lightning fast.

He's easily second favourite to get to a Teemu Pukki pass near the right byline but gets there and almost manages to put in a dangerous cross.

Not too much for the goalkeepers to do here other than that one outstanding David Stockdale save.

  12. Postpublished at 27 mins

    Wycombe 0-0 Norwich

Garath McCleary's delivery is poor and he then compounds it by giving away a free-kick.

Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth will rightly be frustrated, though overall his side are competing well.

  13. Postpublished at 26 mins

    Wycombe 0-0 Norwich

Every time Norwich threaten to get some combinations together Wycombe are shutting it down.

Kenny McLean plays a neat one-two on the edge of the box but home players swarm around him.

At the other end Wycombe have sneaked a corner, despite Tim Krul's best efforts to keep the ball in play.

Don't be fooled by the stats here.

Norwich have had 78% possession but we all knew that would be the case and Wycombe are perfectly OK with it.

The hosts look pretty comfortable for now, but we know how quickly that could change with the creative talent in yellow shirts.

    Wycombe 0-0 Norwich

Uche Ikpeazu is going to be very important in getting Wycombe up the pitch.

The target man is being relied on to take long passes down and then bring his team-mates into play.

The former Cambridge and Hearts player is having some success, but it's a thankless task.

  17. Postpublished at 17 mins

    Wycombe 0-0 Norwich

Wycombe need no second opportunity to put the ball into the Norwich box.

Jordan Obita lofts a deep free-kick forward and it causes a bit of confusion, but no home player is able to get a clean shot away.

  18. Postpublished at 14 mins

    Wycombe 0-0 Norwich

You may remember David Stockdale as a quite promising goalkeeper at the likes of Fulham and Brighton.

The now 35-year-old has struggled for regular games in recent years but was recalled from a loan spell at Stevenage earlier this month and has kept back-to-back clean sheets for Wycombe.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 13 mins

    Wycombe 0-0 Norwich

Teemu Pukki wins a free-kick just outside the D for Norwich and Mario Vrancic's curling effort is spectacularly saved by David Stockdale.

It was flying into the top corner and Stockdale had to be at full stretch to keep it out.

Emi Buendia in actionImage source, Rex Features

Max Aarons tries to clip a ball over the top for Norwich team-mate Emi Buendia but the Argentine playmaker can't quite take the ball down and it dribbles behind for a Wycombe goal kick.
