    England 1-0 Andorra

The England centre-backs are playing keep-ball on the halfway line and there isn't an Andorran player within 20 yards of them.

  2. Postpublished at 27 mins

    England 1-0 Andorra

Patrick Bamford is just a little too eager to get into the game, fouling Marc Vales as he looks to reach a punted ball into the box.

He looks and speaks like butter wouldn't melt, but he has some steel in him.

  3. 'Bellingham is fantastic'published at 17:27 British Summer Time 5 September 2021

    England 1-0 Andorra

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live at Wembley

I'm blown away by Jude Bellingham, I really am. I think he is fantastic. The way he carries himself on a football pitch at his age, the presence that he has. Physically he is a big lad but the way he plays is absolutely fantastic. I am so impressed by him.

  4. Postpublished at 26 mins

    England 1-0 Andorra

Jesse Lingard is such an intelligent mover off the ball. He darts into space behind the Andorra defence but the pass to him is just a little strong.

  5. Postpublished at 25 mins

    England 1-0 Andorra

Andorra try to get something going down the left, but it lasts about three passes before Aaron Sanchez Alburquerque is swarmed on and dispossessed.

Seriously, I can't get Prefab Sprout out of my head.

  6. Postpublished at 24 mins

    England 1-0 Andorra

Yes, the opposition is not up to much here. But we can still revel in the depths of talent in this England squad. Soak it up.

  7. 'Long evening for Andorra'published at 17:23 British Summer Time 5 September 2021

    England 1-0 Andorra

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Wembley

The pattern is set and has been from the first whistle. England pushing and Andorra penned in their own half and intent on damage limitation. You fear this will be a very long evening for them.

Theo: Bellingham will be our best midfielder in 5 years time... his talent is ridiculous.

Matt: Great to see Lingard scoring again.

James Stevens: That was a really well worked goal.

  9. Postpublished at 22 mins

    England 1-0 Andorra

That goal has lifted everyone in here. The crowd are singing and now England's players are trying much more ambitious, confident stuff on the pitch.

Jordan Henderson's booming pass from deep is just too strong for Jesse Lingard to reach.

  10. Postpublished at 17:21 British Summer Time 5 September 2021

    England 1-0 Andorra

Jesse Lingard's goal was his first for England since November 2018 against Croatia, 1,022 days ago.

Each of his last three strikes for his country have come at Wembley.

  11. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 21 mins

    England 1-0 Andorra

    Oh, what a shame!

This is a magnificent, delicious little chipped finish from Jesse Lingard. But the flag is up against the forward for moving a fraction early to meet Patrick Bamford's pass.

  12. 'Stunning by Bellingham'published at 17:20 British Summer Time 5 September 2021

    England 1-0 Andorra

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Wembley

That was Jude Bellingham with a brilliant little drag back to start the move off. I think Lingard scuffs his finish. They all count and he will take that. It's stunning play by Bellingham.

  13. Postpublished at 17:20 British Summer Time 5 September 2021

    England 1-0 Andorra

Patrick Bamford might have hoped to have had more than one touch of the ball in the opening 18 minutes.

But England are ahead. And the Leeds striker's moments will surely come.

    Jesse Lingard

    LINGAAAAAARD!

The quality tells. Jude Bellingham's little drag back and pass releases the forwards and Bukayo Saka's deflected cross falls for Jesse Lingard to fire in from around the penalty spot.

He even pulls out a cheeky Cristiano Ronaldo jump and spin celebration in honour of his new club-mate.

  15. 'Andorra winning the second challenges'published at 17:18 British Summer Time 5 September 2021

    England 0-0 Andorra

    Chris Sutton
Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Wembley

Andorra have defended well. They are very deep and there is not a lot of space in behind. They have rose to the challenge and picked up most of the second challenges.

  16. Postpublished at 18 mins

    England 0-0 Andorra

What a moment this would have been...

Bukayo Saka is found with a pull-back from the right and fires just past the far post. He should have hot the target.

Ah. It wouldn't have counted anyway, with a flag up - for a foul? offside?

  17. Postpublished at 15 mins

    England 0-0 Andorra

Well, Andorra have survived 15 minutes. This England side still getting used to operating together. It's patient and precise but perhaps lacking in the speed of movement to cause serious problems.

  18. 'Bellingham looks at home'published at 17:14 British Summer Time 5 September 2021

    England 0-0 Andorra

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Wembley

England's supporters already warming to the early touches of Jude Bellingham. The 18-year-old Borussia Dortmund star just looks so at home every time he pulls on an England shirt.

No. It's a flick over the top, but an England handball in the box ends the hopes of it resulting in more.

    England 0-0 Andorra

It's a fair way out. Trent wouldn't, would he?
