    FT: England 4-0 Albania

So, England currently have a six-point lead over the team in second at the top of Group I. That team is Albania, who beat Hungary 1-0 today.

That lead will be likely be cut to five by Poland later, though. They are in San Marino and will, let's be honest, smash them.

  3. 'You can see how popular Saka is'published at 19:25 British Summer Time 5 September 2021

    England

England boss Gareth Southgate, speaking to ITV Sport about Bukayo Saka: "He got a fabulous reception before the game and during the game. It is lovely, you can see how popular he is with the team as well."

On what it will mean for Saka: "I hope closure if it was needed but I don't think there is a player in that dressing room who thinks anything but positively about what he did all summer."

On the players coming in: "Difficult for the players picked who didn't have as much games together. You have to keep moving the ball, keep being patient. It wasn't an easy task."

The substitutions changed the game for England. It's three points, four goals, it wasn't the perfect performance.

    England 4-0 Andorra

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live at Wembley

The substitutes that came on for England were fresh, confident and are at the top of their game. They have certainly had an impact. It's been a pretty decent performance all round. There were 11 changes which is always difficult to handle. It'll be interesting to hear Gareth Southgate's thoughts.

The free-kick yields nothing. It is the last scoring chance in the game.

England still in the hunt for more.

Harry Kane curls a shot from the edge of the box that Josep Gomes does well to push past the post.

Bet Patrick Bamford is sat there now wishing he was still on to make the most of the tired Andorra legs he helped wear out.

That booking from earlier that foxed me. It went to Tyrone Mings. Still not sure why though. He will miss the game with Poland, though.

Meanwhile, Jesse Lingard goes real close to a hat-trick as his shot is deflected wide.

Liz Tray: Lingard is a good player and a great local lad and he is being treated very poorly by Utd. He is way down the pecking order at OT so why not let him leave?

    Sean: Lingardinho!
