    FT: Belgium 2-3 France

A brilliant game last night and again tonight, the Nations League has absolutely delivered this week.

Didier Deschamps' tactical switch at the start of the second half paid off as Belgium just could not handle the high press.

Once again the Belgians come close, but not close enough.

    Belgium 2-3 France

All over! An incredible second-half performance sends France into the final.

They were 2-0 down and on their way home at half time but produced one of the great comebacks.

France will meet Spain on Sunday.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 90+2 mins

    Belgium 2-3 France

Michy Batshuayi is on for Belgium, replacing Timothy Castagne, but he's not got long to make an impact with just two minutes of the four added on remaining.

    Theo Hernández

    WOW!

Theo Hernández with his first international goal and what a memorable goal it is as France complete an incredible comeback.

A sweeping move ends with a ball into the box only half cleared to Hernandez, who takes a touch before firing out of Thibaut Courtois' reach.

Is that it? Or one final twist in this incredible game?

  12. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 88 mins

    Belgium 2-2 France

And now Paul Pogba thunders a brilliant free kick onto the crossbar.

I've said it already but I'll say it again... what a game!

    Anyone can win this.

  13. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 21:31 British Summer Time 7 October 2021

    Belgium 2-2 France

The goal is ruled out by VAR for an offside! Romelu Lukaku just in front of the defence as the cross comes in.

    As you were!

  14. goal

    Romelu Lukaku

Roberto Martinez all smiles again as Romelu Lukaku finishes a cross superbly.

    Oh wait...

  15. Postpublished at 84 mins

    Belgium 2-2 France

Yannick Carrasco overhits a ball into the box and Roberto Martinez shouts angrily at no-one in particular.

At half-time he was probably looking forward to being able to binge-watch the final few episodes of Squid Game before midnight tonight given how certain a win in 90 minutes looked for his side, but now he's facing a very real prospect of extra time and penalties here.

  16. Postpublished at 80 mins

    Belgium 2-2 France

Ten minutes to go until the end of 90 minutes. If the score is still level then we get another 30 minutes before penalties.

I'd have no complaints at all with another 30 minutes of this. End-to-end.

  17. GREAT SAVE!published at 78 mins

    Belgium 2-2 France

Oh this would have been some introduction as Aurelien Tchouameni, with pretty much his first touch since coming on, bends a powerful effort at goal that Thibaut Courtois does well to push away.

    This game!

  18. Postpublished at 76 mins

    Belgium 2-2 France

Romelu Lukaku charges forward but, much to the France defence's relief, he gets the ball trapped under his feet and the ball is cleared.

Aurelien Tchouameni is on for Adrien Rabot for France.
