    Netherlands 0-0 Norway

Time is not on Norway's side. They need a goal. Currently they are finishing third, but a winner here would send them automatically to Qatar and mean the Netherlands miss out on a second World Cup on the bounce.

    It's all or nothing time.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 80 mins

  15. Postpublished at 72 mins

    Netherlands 0-0 Norway

Norway win their first corner of the game.

If there were fans here they'd be chewing their fingers to the bone. They'd have had no need to worry, though. It hits the first man, who heads clear.

  16. Postpublished at 70 mins

    Netherlands 0-0 Norway

Norway have to do something here. They have no choice. Question is, how long do they leave it? Go too early and they could get picked off by the better side. Go too late and they may never find the goal they need.

The Netherlands have a decision of their own to make. Go for the goal that seals it? Or risk a knock-out sucker punch?

  19. Another twistpublished at 21:06 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November 2021

Meanwhile, in Group D, Ukraine are ahead against Bosnia-Montenegro, so they are up to second, with Finland down to third.

    It's suddenly getting very real.

  20. Postpublished at 21:04 Greenwich Mean Time 16 November 2021

    Montenegro 1-2 Turkey

Two goals that change the picture!

Turkey are now ahead against Montenegro, which means they are level on points with the Netherlands but still second in the group.

It is dreadful news for Norway, though. It means even if they scored here it wouldn't be enough to take them into the play-offs as it stands.

If they do get a goal, though, the Netherlands drop to third!
