West Brom are just a bit shot-shy. You can see why they are where they are - they're not prepared to have a go for that quality strike.

Matt Phillips is onside as he keeps it in on the byline. Cheikhou Kouyate has to come across to clear it for a throw-in but Palace deal with it comfortably.

West Brom will come at them again though as Gary Cahill's clearance is straight to them.

West Brom have started brightly with their movement.

My frustration is they're trying to be too cute. They had a free-kick and did a training ground routine instead of putting the ball into the box.

When you're struggling to score those are the moments that change things.

More good play from West Brom. Okay Yokuslu uses the run of Matheus Pereira as a distraction and quickly sees the space to try to curl it in from just inside the box. It's not too far off.

Both teams are playing some good football - probably West Brom are the more silky side, but there's no end product. The Palace defence looks pretty strong but West Brom deserve the chance to do something, they've been really bright.

Joel Ward gets to the ball on the right and manages to pick out Christian Benteke at the far post.

He's stretching as he heads it back inside and Jordan Ayew can't get there before it's cleared.

Joel Ward stops Ainsley Maitland-Niles getting to the ball when he slips and continues to throw his body over the ball.

The free-kick is played short to Conor Gallagher on the left. He isn't ready for it and tries to scramble a rushed cross in. It's headed away by the first man. Weird choice...

Conor Gallagher picks the ball up in space on the edge of the Palace box this time and his first touch sets him up for the shot.

He goes for power rather than placement and it sails way over the bar. That was another half chance for him.

Nice move! A combination of one-touch passing and flicks from Eberechi Eze and Christian Benteke bring the ball out from midfield and Eze slips in Wilfried Zaha.

He slides it back across the box from the left but it's just behind Benteke. Jordan Ayew is following on the edge of the box but he swipes at it and misses the ball!

Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa speaking to BBC Match of the Day on the positives for his side: "The effort collectively, throughout the whole game - which is the only way to close the margin in difference between the teams - the effort defensively from the whole team, and after the dominance they had we were able to close the gap in the second half and had slightly more chances than them.

"Against West Ham we defended well but they managed to create chances from long shots and set-pieces, which of course is also a valid way of creating chances. But the game today is very special because they have two players for every offensive position. To be able to sustain these players is not easy.

"I'm worried when we don't create chances. To have a similar amount of chances as the opponent is something to interpret in a valuable way."

Wilfried Zaha and Okay Yokuslu have a little scuffle after a coming together in midfield.

It's quickly calmed down and Simon Hooper has a word. The decision goes Palace's way so a first opportunity for Patrick van Aanholt to put one in the box.

It's read by Kyle Bartley and nodded away comfortably.

Wilfried Zaha has explained his reasons for deciding not to carry on taking a knee before games:

"My decision to stand at kick-off has been public knowledge for a couple of weeks now. There is no right or wrong decision, but for me personally I feel kneeling has just become a part of the pre-match routine and at the moment it doesn’t matter whether we kneel or stand, some of us still continue to receive abuse.

"I know there is a lot of work being done behind the scenes at the Premier League and other authorities to make change, and I fully respect that, and everyone involved. I also fully respect my teammates and players at other clubs who continue to take the knee.

"As a society, I feel we should be encouraging better education in schools, and social media companies should be taking stronger action against people who abuse others online - not just footballers.

"I now just want to focus on football and enjoy being back playing on the pitch.

"I will continue to stand tall."

Luka Milivojevic gives away a free-kick in the Palace half which Darnell Furlong will take advantage of to put another ball into the box.

There's some pushing and shoving though so it's a free-kick to Palace. Bit of a waste.

Matt Phillips is finding lots of space on the right. He pings another decent cross in which Matheus Pereira nods back into the six-yard area.

Conor Gallagher comes onto it but can only chest it into the arms of Vicente Guaita. Half chance!

West Brom won't be happy to see Zaha. In the last four games they've played against Palace, he's got four goals. He's a lucky a talisman. He's quality, absolute quality.

West Brom have started brightly. It's worked out to the right where Darnell Furlong combines with Matt Phillips.

He goes back to Conor Gallagher before it's eventually won by Palace on the far side.
