  2. 'We have eight finals'published at 22:36 Greenwich Mean Time 19 March 2021

    FT: Fulham 1-2 Leeds

    Fulham

Fulham boss Scott Parker to Sky Sports: "Disappointed tonight, we didn't deserve anything from the game and the best team won. we huffed and puffed and were prov fortunate to go in at 1-1. We have a massive chance just before they score but the best team won tonight. We struggled at times and that was disappointing.

"The way Leeds play they make it end to end, they want it like a basketball match. We spoke about cool heads in those moments but we struggled with that at times. I've said after losses we payed really well but that wasn't the case tonight.

"You're always in the game with Leeds because of the way they play. It's not something we've come to see in terms of our performance tonight.

"The game became too eratic and you're playing a team that want the game to be like that, they're the best at it. Under stress you need to make good decisions and we didn't do that.

"We've got eight games, eight finals. We've put ourselves in a great position. Very disappointed with tonight but this is a little blip. We regroup and come back fighting like we have for the rest of the year."

    FT: Fulham 1-2 Leeds

    Fulham

More from Scott Parker to BBC Sport: "Too many [home defeats], far too many. The home form hasn’t been where it needs to be and that's why we are where we are. Away form has been good and I’m confident there."

On Fulham's position in the table: "We’re at the point where it’s the final hurdle, the home straight. We need to win some games. We’ve brought teams in and amongst us."

  4. 'We didn't deserve anything'published at 22:28 Greenwich Mean Time 19 March 2021

    FT: Fulham 1-2 Leeds

    Fulham

Fulham boss Scott Parker to BBC Sport: "I thought we matched them in certain parts, set-plays. But it's fair to say we didn’t deserve anything. The best team won.

"We really struggled with their intensity at times and couldn't cope with it. We didn’t want it to become a basketball match because that falls into Leeds' hands. Not many teams are as strong as Leeds in those moments.

"For the effort and huff and puff we never had control. We have to move on.

"We got in at half-time at 1-1. I was very pleased with that. I didn’t feel we deserved it. I didn't like us too much at half-time. I was pleased at 1-1. In the second half you hope to assert yourself more but it wasn’t the case. We missed a big chance and 20 seconds later they scored."

  5. 'Difficult to play a side that needs points'published at 22:23 Greenwich Mean Time 19 March 2021

    FT: Fulham 1-2 Leeds

    Leeds United

Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa to BBC Sport: "It's difficult to play against a team who need the points. We attacked well and defended well in the second half.

"[Our season so far] is not what I expected but it's what we've been able to obtain up to this point."

  6. 'I think I'm in with a shot of England place'published at 22:20 Greenwich Mean Time 19 March 2021

    FT: Fulham 1-2 Leeds

    Leeds United

More from Patrick Bamford, on not being included in the England squad: "Every player who gets called up thoroughly deserves it. I think a few who thought they might get called up didn't and are disappointed.

"I just need to keep working and see if I can get my name in contention for the Euros. If I keep going as I am I think I'm in with a shot. If you told me at the start of the season I'd be linked with England I'd say you were bonkers.

"If it comes, it comes. If not I'll know I've done my best. It was in the back of my mind a little bit I guess. It gives you a bit of an extra fire in your belly."

  7. 'I struggled from the start'published at 22:18 Greenwich Mean Time 19 March 2021

    Fulham 1-2 Leeds

    Leeds United

Leeds striker Patrick Bamford speaking to Sky Sports: "The lads deseve a lot of credit, they had to do a lot of my running tonight becasue I was struggling from the get-go. It was a matter of time for how long I could last and at 77 minutes the legs packed in.

"For the majority we controlled the game. We created a lot of chances, I think the result was fair. Fulham are a lot better team since when we last played them and I think they'll be fighting and might get out of it - you never know."

On VAR: "I'm a bit biased because I'm a striker but the game is about scoring goals and at the moment it'ss taking away more than it's giving."

On his goal: "It was a crisp finish right off my shin. It went where I meant it to go, to be honest I should have scored earlier in the game - I was kicking myself for that. The first goal was important tonight."

Luke: Agree with Upson. We are short of goal scorers in the England set up. We have plenty of talent out wide, in the likes of Sterling, Saka and Sancho who can create chance after chance. Lingard is a wasted call up. Bamford is the type of player England lacks

As a Liverpool supporter I absolutely love Leeds! They have their weaknesses but the solution is to ignore them and attack! Such a good watch.

  13. 'A brilliant game'published at 22:01 Greenwich Mean Time 19 March 2021

    FT: Fulham 1-2 Leeds

    Matt Upson
Former England and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

At half-time I said that pace couldn't continue in the second half. I was wrong. It really did. The ferociousness of this game, it's hard to explain the amount of work both sides did. It made a brilliant game. Leeds are the masters of that. Fulham tried to match them at it but Leeds are so well drilled.

Leeds have goalscorers in the team and it showed.

  14. Postpublished at 22:00 Greenwich Mean Time 19 March 2021

Huge disappointment for Fulham, who will spend the international break in the bottom three.

Leeds move on to 39 points and, you'd imagine, they've done enough to ensure their own safety with nine game to play.
