Miles Storey uses his body really well there. Once he gets in it's a brilliant finish, really calm. We need to see more of that from him.

    Miles Storey

What a start for the hosts!

James Keatings lobs a ball over the top, it looks like Michael Smith is going to beat Storey to it but the Hearts full-back's header back to Craig Gordon is too short and the Caley Thistle forward nips in to slot home.

Neil McCann is absolutely buzzing on the sidelines.

  8. 'It's all about promotion' - McFadden on Heartspublished at 19:40 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2021

    Inverness CT v Hearts (19:45)

Ahead of tonight's Championship clash, we discussed Hearts' season so far with Sportscene pundit James McFadden.

Despite "consistency proving to be tough" for the Championship leaders, the former Scotland international was keen to stress that the Tynecastle club's sole focus should be on promotion, rather than below-par performances.

"You've got to look at the big picture," says McFadden. "It's all about winning the league this season."

"Dundee United were in the Championship for far too long. Would they have taken coming straight back up if it meant not winning every game in a particular fashion? Of course they would've."

Ex-Hearts winger and current caretaker Inverness boss Neil McCann says he’ll try to be a "wee bit calmer" on the sidelines on his return to management after more than two years out of the game.

The former Dundee manager is taking over at the Highland club while friend and former team-mate John Robertson is on compassionate leave.

"Football is in my blood," says McCann. "I’ve still got the same drive and I’ll place the same demand on myself and on the players as I did at Dundee.

"Would I be different now to I was then? Yes, 100%. Because I think you have to evaluate yourself and your performance and see things that maybe you didn’t do well.

"It was my first time in the job, it was a wonderful opportunity and I’ll always be grateful to Dundee for giving me that."

  10. As it stands in the second tier...published at 19:34 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2021

    Inverness CT v Hearts (19:45)

A win for Robbie Neilson's side will extend their lead at the top of the table to 14 points, although Dunfermline will have two games in hand in second place.

As for the home side, a victory for Neil McCann in his first game in temporary charge would lift the Highlanders into the play-off spots.
