Swansea are within touching distance of automatic promotion and they take on Middlesbrough today with the possibility of pulling closer to a return to the top flight.

However, having lost three of their past six in all competitions, the Swans will be hoping to get back on track.

Former Cardiff boss Neil Warnock leads Middlesbrough on his return to south Wales, but does not have an enviable record against Swansea.

Of his past 11 Football League matches away at Swansea, Wanrock has only won one as a manager.

  3. Will Stoke avoid four losses in a row?published at 14:53 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March 2021

    Stoke v Wycombe (15:00 GMT)

    Michael O'NeillImage source, Rex Features

Three straight defeats for Stoke and two consecutive losses for Wycombe, this one is a battle of two sides with varying levels of poor form.

The Potters last lost four in a row under Nathan Jones in 2019 but have lost none of their past nine Championship matches against newly-promoted sides.

Wycombe need goals if they are to lift themselves off the bottom of the table, but are currently the lowest scorers in the league.

12 points adrift of safety with 13 still to play, it's a tough ask but can they turn their season around starting today?

  4. Out-of-form Owls look to get back on trackpublished at 14:51 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March 2021

Reading v Sheff Wed (15:00 GMT)

Sheffield Wednesday desperately need points having sunk deeper into relegation trouble of late and take on in-form Reading today.

Having lost five on the bounce, they travel to the Royals with a record of two league wins at the Madejski Stadium.

Reading meanwhile are looking to continue their improved form with three successive wins of their own.

However, they have won just once in their past eight meetings with the Owls in all competitions.

  5. A defensive game key for Prestonpublished at 14:49 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March 2021

    Preston v Bournemouth (15:00 GMT)

    Alex NeilImage source, Rex Features

Preston will be hoping not to concede today if they are to overcome play-off-chasing Bournemouth.

In their past 14 league games at Deepdale, Preston are yet to win when they have conceded.

Bournemouth travel up the M6 having won their past two consecutive Championship games yet they lie in sixth in a tight top six.

Victory today would help them keep pace with seventh-placed Cardiff and eighth-placed Barnsley breathing down their neck.

  6. Can leaders Norwich make it seven in a row?published at 14:46 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March 2021

    Norwich v Luton (15:00 GMT)

    Daniel FarkeImage source, Rex Features

League leaders Norwich meet Luton today and have earned top spot thanks to six consecutive Championship wins.

They take on the Hatters today who have won their past three games against the Canaries in all competitions.

That includes their 3-1 win against Daniel Farke's side earlier this season.

Luton come into the game having won their past two Championship games and if they win today, it will be the first time they have won three on the bounce in the league since February 2019 - during their promotion-winning 2018-19 League One season.

  7. Will Blackburn's poor run continue at Millwall?published at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March 2021

    Millwall v Blackburn (15:00 GMT)

    Tony MowbrayImage source, Rex Features

Blackburn travel to Millwall today off the back of a horrendous run of form, losing six of their past seven games.

Their record away from home makes for similarly grim reading for Rovers fans - having lost four of their past seven games in the capital.

Millwall meanwhile are looking altogether more stable just outside the play-offs in 10th.

Lions boss Gary Rowett has lost just one of his past five Championship games at home against Blackburn - can Rovers make that two from six?

  9. Diedhiou primed to bag more goals v QPR?published at 14:37 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March 2021

Bristol City v QPR (15:00 GMT)

    Famara DiedhiouImage source, Rex Features

Nigel Pearson has arrived to steady the ship at Bristol City and they take on QPR today who themselves have dropped off of late.

One person to look out for today? Famara Diedhiou has scored in four of his starts against QPR, finding the net four times.

QPR's recent run is in contrast to how well they started 2021, when their away form was pretty impressive.

Since winning their first three away games in the league this year, Mark Warburton's side have picked up just a point on their travels in two games since.

  10. Barnsley aiming for winning recordpublished at 14:34 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March 2021

    Barnsley v Birmingham (15:00 GMT)

    Valerien IsmaelImage source, Rex Features

Barnsley are currently in a fine run of form in the Championship, having won all of their past six games on the bounce.

They meet struggling Birmingham hoping to win seven straight games in the second tier for the first time ever.

Blues have lost just once on their past seven trips to Oakwell and victory today could pull them further away from the drop zone.

Rotherham's next two games being postponed means they could move further away from 22nd spot.

Forest beaten for the second time in four days.

Their players though are busy remonstrating with referee Jon Moss as they felt Daniel Bachmann might just have handled the ball outside of his penalty area in those closing seconds.

No VAR or course in the EFL so even after the final whistle, we can't go back and take another look.
