    Blackburn 0-0 Swansea

Blackburn look well up for this as they keep Swansea under pressure in these early stages.

Ben Brereton is in the thick of the action once again as he puts in a lovely ball towards the onrushing Bradley Dack but the Rovers midfielder can't quite connect.

  10. GREAT SAVE!published at 18:08 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2021

    Blackburn 0-0 Swansea

At the other end, Blackburn goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski puts in a tremendous save to deny Swansea.

It all comes as Andre Ayew - who has scored the winner for Swansea from the spot in the final minute of their past two games - heads towards goal from close range. He's flagged offside anyway. Bright opening at Ewood Park.

Blimey, action early on in this one and Blackburn see calls for a penalty waved away.

Ben Brereton does well to link up with Tyrhys Dolan and he goes down inside the box under Swansea pressure.

Fortunately for the visitors, referee Robert Jones isn't interested.

  15. Good omens for Swansea?published at 17:53 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2021

    Blackburn v Swansea (18:00 GMT)

Swansea come into their trip to Ewood Park off the back of two matches where they have been awarded penalties in the final minute.

The south Wales side are in fine form ahead of tonight's encounter with Blackburn and have won eight away matches in the league this season.

If they make it nine tonight, it might be a good omen. The last time they won nine away games in a season was in 2010-11 under Brendan Rodgers when they won promotion to the Premier League.

Add to that the fact Rovers boss Tony Mowbray has never won any of his matches against Swansea as a manager in seven attempts and it seems as if the visitors have fate on their side before a ball has even been kicked. If, you know, you believe in all that stuff.

Just the two Championship games to get stuck into this evening but there's a host of action in Leagues One and Two.

In the second tier, there's action in all areas of the table, with plenty at stake.

Can Blackburn make it two wins from two after their recent poor run as they take on Swansea or will the Swans use their two-game in hand cushion on leaders Norwich and second-placed Watford to their advantage?

Meanwhile, Wycombe have the chance to put in an end-of-season fightback in their battle for Championship survival when they take on QPR later.

Kick-off at Ewood Park in around 10 minutes.
