    Everton 0-0 Crystal Palace

Hopefully some of the players have turned their radars on at half-time.

We're back under way, hoping to see some goals.

Everton looked brilliant in the final third, but they are not pulling the trigger quickly enough. If they can do that, I am sure they'll get a couple of goals.

Palace have two banks of four, the midfield four are close together so it is difficult for James Rodriguez to be creative.

Rob A: Underrated. This season - Cresswell, spanning a few seasons perhaps Ben Mee?

Rodri is the player that makes this current Man City team tick, but I never see him receiving the plaudits his teammates do. He's my pick as PL's most underrated this season.

    Bob, York

The most underrated player in the prem is obviously Michael Carrick

Ed - 6 years too late

It certainly hasn't clicked for Palace in an attacking sense so far. Benteke is largely a passenger in the game and while Zaha and Eze have occasionally got on the ball in positions of promise, they've produced little from it.

Zaha and Benteke are constantly having little gos at each other - it's intriguing.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 18:49 British Summer Time 5 April 2021

    Everton 0-0 Crystal Palace

A half that has promised much but delivered little ends with a Palace free-kick that is chipped to nobody in the box and hacked clear.

Antonio is not a bad shout. I feel like he is now starting to get the credit he deserves this season.

I think Jake Livermore is so underrated, been a great premier league servant

    Alex Williamson

Perhaps a rogue shout because we all know his quality...but Ruben Neves still somehow seems highly underrated. Always puts in a shift.

    Jonny, Cambridge

Millsysview: The most underrated player in the Premier League, I’ve said it for years now, is Michail Antonio, should’ve been long picked up by one of the top teams or called up by England. Until this season he has carried that Hammers side!

They just can't hit the target. A free-kick is floated into the Palace box and headed over by Richarlison.

    Everton 0-0 Crystal Palace

Another Everton effort from distance flies wide as James Rodriguez fails to hit the target.

It was unlucky, maybe a foot above the crossbar in the far corner - great idea, but the execution was a bit off.

For the neutral, this is very entertaining.

It is not Sigurdsson who hits it. Richarlison shoved pretty much every other interested party out of the way before curling an effort wide.

Not sure he'll get the next one.

Sigurdsson might have a chance to further his claim for that title. Everton have a free-kick right on the edge of the Palace box.

I think Sigurdsson is the most underrated player in the Prem, maybe Europe

After that flurry of Everton chances a little while back, this has all gone a bit scrappy. Lots of passes going astray in midfield.

OK then, who is the most underrated player in the Premier League?

@Lee Gallagher bit late for April fools?

    Luke V

Is Lee Gallagher okay? Tom Davies? The most underrated?!

    Liam Hooker

  18. Postpublished at 18:35 British Summer Time 5 April 2021

    Everton 0-0 Crystal Palace

A late boot in on Jorden Ayew during a tussle for the ball near the touchline earns Lucas Digne a yellow card.

That initially looked painful for the Palace man. He's soon up and back into action, though.

  19. Postpublished at 18:33 British Summer Time 5 April 2021

    Everton 0-0 Crystal Palace

Eze goes for the more complicated option, trying a back-heel pass to release a team-mate down the left. He over-hits it and gifts Everton a goal-kick.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 18:31 British Summer Time 5 April 2021

    Everton 0-0 Crystal Palace

He's yet to fully convince me if I'm honest, Lee.

He's about to have a new midfield partner in the middle, though. Andre Gomes is down and clearly unable to carry on, prompting Gylfi Sigurdsson to join the action.
