Sergio Aguero's low-key exit from Manchester City continues.

The 'niggle' that has stopped him from training for the last three or four days costs him what would have been a certain start given the make up of Pep Guardiola's side today.

Guardiola has said he has no problem with Aguero joining a Premier League rival when he leaves City in the summer.

There are certainly a few of those interested in the Argentina forward.

Aston Villa could do the double over Liverpool for the first time since the inaugural Premier League season in 1992-93.

Six of Villa's 13 Premier League wins in this fixture have come at Anfield, though they have lost on their past two visits.

Christian Benteke has been involved in eight goals in his past 10 Premier League appearances against Chelsea, scoring six and setting up two.

Palace have scored 32 Premier League goals this campaign, which is already one more than they managed in the whole of last season.

Leeds United defender Luke Ayling, speaking to BT Sport: "We know it's going to be a hard game but we're coming here in quite good form so we will give it a go.

"We'll play our style of football. The home game against Manchester City was really good and end to end.

"We will try our best. Our game plan is the same pretty much every game. We'll work hard and play our football, try and play out from the back and press them hard."

Sergio Aguero has not trained for three to four days and "has a problem" says Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

He is not in the squad today and neither is Aymeric Laporte.

Also returning are Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Ferran Torres, Benjamin Mendy and Fernandinho, who captains the side.

Chelsea were on the wrong end of a stunning 5-2 scoreline against West Brom last weekend, but they bounced back well against Porto in midweek.

Crystal Palace underlined how solid they are with their draw against Everton on Monday, and they are no pushovers. Chelsea are going to have to work hard for everything they get here.

Crystal Palace will be without on-loan striker Michy Batshuayi, who is ineligible to face his parent club.

Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel gave his side a clean bill of health in his pre-match press conference.

However, central defender Thiago Silva is suspended as a result of his sending off at West Brom last weekend.

Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne has signed a new contract that runs until 2025.

The 29-year-old Belgium international had more than two years remaining on his previous deal.

"Signing this contract was a straightforward decision," he said.

When these sides met earlier in the season it was the first sign that things were not all going to go Liverpool's way this time.

The Reds started the game at Villa Park with their first-choice central-defensive pairing of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez, but still lost 7-2.

It was a day to forget for Jurgen Klopp's side but, if you'd told me then what would happen to their home form this season, I wouldn't have believed you.

So, it would be huge for Klopp's side if they can take the three points at Anfield on Saturday - something they haven't done in any of their past eight games there since 16 December.

A home win would get that monkey off their back ahead of the visit of Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday, but it is far more important in terms of keeping them in touch with the top four.

Leeds could beat Manchester City away in the Premier League for the first time since a 4-0 victory at Maine Road in January 2001.

Leeds had 52% ball possession in the 1-1 draw with Manchester City earlier this season. No team has ever had the majority of possession against a Pep Guardiola-managed side in both top-flight meetings in a season.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has no fresh injury concerns but will assess the condition of his squad in the wake of their midweek European exploits.

Joe Gomez, Jordan Henderson, Joel Matip, Caoimhin Kelleher, Virgil van Dijk and Divock Origi all remain out.

Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish is expected to remain out for a further two weeks following a setback in his recovery from a shin problem.

Defender Kortney Hause returns to the squad but Wesley is not yet fit enough.
