It's been a good start by Sheffield United this second half. There is a sense of urgency about them.

It's going to be interesting for Sheffield United because when you get relegated, you only need one or two of your players to think that playing in the Championship is easy, having just come from the Premier League. But it doesn't work that way, you're going to be a massive scalp in that league.

If Solksjaer got plenty of time then why not Arteta?! Ole's been at United a year longer than Arteta at Arsenal and how many trophies has he got to show for it? It's only this season they started to look good!

Strong, driving run from Oliver Burke sees him power around Calum Chambers, but the Arsenal man recovers well to clear.

Can the Blades fashion a chance to go with this smart start?

James: Chance for Lacazette to step up while Aubameyang is no where to be seen.

Weenson: Surely Arsenal cannot afford to lose Lacazette in the summer.

A really bright opening. John Fleck's final pass into the area is behind Oliver Burke which is a shame for the Blades as that was a good move, before Ben Osborn thinks he has won a corner but a goal-kick is given instead.

John Egan makes a nuisance of himself again at a set-piece but can't trouble Bernd Leno with his header. Bright opening from the hosts though.

Alexandre Lacazette has now scored 49 Premier League goals for Arsenal. He can become the 10th player to score 50 PL goals for the Gunners and the fourth from France, after Thierry Henry (175), Olivier Giroud (73) and Robert Pires (62).

    Some trio!

Craig Smith: This game is a great opportunity for Martinelli to get a goal and kick start his Arsenal career again. As for Arsenal, an opportunity to get their confidence back for Thursday.

Not wanting to be negative when Arsenal are playing so well, however I am not convinced by Partey yet - I feel that if he plays on Thursday, Arsenal go out.

Arsenal are very much in charge of this game. It was an outstanding goal and it's very difficult to see where Sheffield United will go in the second half. Nothing wrong with their effort, but it's just the lack of quality, I'm afraid.

But then Sheffield United win their first corner, it's not dealt with and John Egan hits a rasping shot at Bernd Leno and it nearly goes right through him.

Andrew Sanders: Can we hold onto a lead and maybe get a clean sheet?

Grumpy Expat: ‘The Invincibles’ would have been proud of that Arsenal goal.

Gabriel Martinelli now sees a shot deflect just wide after a corner cane out to him. Was actually brilliantly blocked. The youngster fancies a goal tonight.

He scored against the Blades at the Emirates last year, one of the last games I went to. Feels about 10 years ago.

What does Paul Heckingbottom say to Sheffield United now in the dressing room? What can he possibly say? There is still a bit of steel about the players that they have got, though (excuse the pun).

Camatriix: Arsenal goal that. Quality move.

Not certain whether Arsenal need five new quality signings or five new quality signings plus a new manager. Being patient with Arteta is important but how much longer is acceptable?
