Man of the match Lewis O’Brien:

"We worked hard during the week on trying to press a team that likes to play out from the back and that worked for the goal.

"At half-time we spoke about working a bit harder because we knew they would come out hard and it was a bit unlucky for their goal.

"I’m not a player who goes down easily but I felt contact and I felt I should have had a penalty.”

    FT: Huddersfield 1-1 Brentford

Thankfully the game really livened up in the second period and Brentford got themselves level through Mads Sørensen.

Either side could have won it from there.

More frustration for Brentford with their promotion push faltering.

They move third on goal difference but nine points behind Watford in second.

Huddersfield's cushion from the relegation zone grows to eight points.

  4. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:31 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    Huddersfield 1-1 Brentford

A third-straight draw for Brentford and in truth they didn't do enough throughout the game to win it.

Huddersfield will certainly take a point.

  5. Postpublished at 14:31 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    Huddersfield 1-1 Brentford

Free-kick to Brentford on the half-way line.

    One last chance perhaps.

But they go short and try to work it down the left.

The cross is claimed by the goalkeeper.

  6. Postpublished at 14:29 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    Huddersfield 1-1 Brentford

Ivan Toney and Emiliano work it really smartly down the byline to the right of goal for Brentford.

It almost sends Emiliano in on goal but the final touch wasn't good enough.

Huddersfield goalkeeper Ryan Schofield booked for time-wasting.

  7. INJURY TIMEpublished at 14:27 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    Huddersfield 1-1 Brentford

It's Brentford pressing hard and they have five more minutes to find a winner.

  8. Postpublished at 14:25 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    Huddersfield 1-1 Brentford

Huddersfield fail to deal with a cross from the left and scrappy ball finds Christian Nørgaard on the top of the penalty area.

He snaps a shot on his left foot and Ryan Schofield was scrambling across there to his left.

Replays show the strike was well wide.

    Huddersfield 1-1 Brentford

Haven't seen much of Ivan Toney in this second period.

He now wins a free-kick on the right corner of the penalty area.

This is, at last, a beautiful cross, whipped across the six-yard box but no-one attacks it for Brentford and it evades everyone.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14:20 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    Huddersfield 1-1 Brentford

The changes have worked for either side in this second half and here are two more.

Danny Ward thrown on for Huddersfield and Marcus Forss for the visitors.

  11. Postpublished at 14:18 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    Huddersfield 1-1 Brentford

Brentford now on the front foot.

Tariqe Fosu cuts back on his right foot and strikes low to the left post, drawing a save out of Ryan Schofield.

Emiliano Marcondes then down the right for Brentford and almost finds a very dangerous cross but it's blocked behind for a corner that's cleared.

  12. GREAT SAVE!published at 14:14 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    Huddersfield 1-1 Brentford

Demeaco Duhaney very close to restoring the home side's lead!

It opens up for him on the right and he draws the last defender, turns back onto his left foot and tries to curl a shot beyond the goalkeeper.

But David Raya gets down really well with his right hand to make the save.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14:11 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    Huddersfield 1-1 Brentford

You felt Brentford needed a change and here there are.

Sergi Canos and Saman Ghoddos give way for Emiliano Marcondes and Tariqe Fosu.

  14. Postpublished at 14:09 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    Huddersfield 1-1 Brentford

Have to conclude that the changes have made a huge difference because Huddersfield have dominated possession in the last 10 minutes.

But Brentford win a cheap throw in and swing a deep cross from the left to the far post.

Bryan Mbeumo gets his head to it but only nods it wide.

    A half chance.

    Huddersfield 1-1 Brentford

Huddersfield have produced a fine response to conceding and have yet another free-kick on the left-hand side.

But once more the delivery isn't threatening enough and Brentford can clear.

Certainly the hosts looking more likely at the moment.

  16. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 14:02 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    Huddersfield 1-1 Brentford

Lewis O'Brien down the left for Hudderfield.

His initial cross is blocked but he picks it up again and gets into the penalty area.

He's in front of Saman Ghoddos and goes down, looked a little clumsy from the defender.

The referee waves the appeals away. Nothing clear cut.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:59 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    Huddersfield 1-1 Brentford

    Carlos CorberánImage source, PA Media

Carlos Corberán, resplendent in his chinos, is making two changes.

Richard Stearman and Aaron Rowe replace Pipa and Fraizer Campbell for the final half hour.

Which could mean a change to a back-three for the hosts.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:56 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    Huddersfield 1-1 Brentford

Much more of a zip about the game now.

Duane Holmes has a hack at Mads Sørensen trying to slip up the left wing and becomes the first player from either side to be cautioned.

  19. Postpublished at 13:54 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    Huddersfield 1-1 Brentford

    Well that's livened things up!

Might bring out the home side a bit now they cannot sit on their lead.

The Terriers win a free-kick just outside the penalty area on the left and Juninho Bacuna curls it over the bar.

A second set piece from further out drifts over everyone. A total waste.

  20. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 13:50 British Summer Time 3 April 2021

    Huddersfield 1-1 Brentford

    Ivan Toney hits the post!

Almost two in 90 seconds for Brentford as Toney finds space on the left, drives into the penalty area and shoots across goal with his left boot.

The goalkeeper is beaten but the shot cannons back off the right-hand upright.
