Wow - five-star Wednesday thrash play-off chasing Cardiff to move off the foot of the Championship.

It seemed too good to be true when Julian Borner's header, Callum Paterson's volley and Adam Reach's free-kick had the Owls 3-0 up after 23 minutes.

But the hosts, without isolating boss Darren Moore, kept it going - Jordan Rhodes finishing a slick counter attack and Reach finishing the scoring.

Barry Bannan is taken off for Wednesday in the final minute.

The kind of change that, in front of a full stadium, would be received with a standing ovation.

He's been at his silky and creative best. Liam Shaw replaces him.

We're into three minutes of stoppage time at Hillsborough.

Harry Wilson has been very lively for Cardiff since he came on. Running at Wednesday defenders and committing them.

You wonder why Mick McCarthy left his changes until so late - it wouldn't have changed the result but it might have made things more respectable.

Nearly a very nice consolation goal for Cardiff, but Harry Wilson is denied by the outside of the post.

The Wales forward cuts in on his left foot and Wednesday keeper Joe Wildsmith was beaten.

It's Wednesday's turn to make three changes, and all of a sudden this has the feel of a pre-season friendly.

Sam Hutchinson, Josh Windass and Jordan Rhodes are replaced by Joey Pelupessy, Andre Green and Elias Kachunga.

We're into the final eight minutes of normal time.

I'm trying to imagine Sheffield Wednesday boss Darren Moore sat in his front room watching this.

Bank holiday entertainment doesn't get any better than this for Owls fans.

As you might imagine, the pace of the game has gone now and not much is really happening.

You've just got to love the Championship.

Sheffield Wednesday have been ruthless and clinical - something we've rarely seen from them this season.

Aside from an early flurry in the opening minutes of the half, Cardiff are struggling to turn the screw here.
