    Real Madrid 2-0 Eibar

Job done for Real Madrid. They go second in La Liga, three points behind Atletico Madrid.

A good way to celebrate 250 games in charge for Zinedine Zidane.

  5. YELLOW CARDpublished at 93 mins

    Real Madrid 2-0 Eibar

Alejandro Pozo picks up a booking for a late tackle on Sergio Arribas.

  6. INJURY TIMEpublished at 90 mins

    Real Madrid 2-0 Eibar

There will be a minimum of three minutes added on.

  7. CLOSE!published at 87 mins

    Real Madrid 2-0 Eibar

Eibar are still giving this a good go, as Thibaut Courtois reacts well to keep out a low drive from Takashi Inui.

  8. Postpublished at 84 mins

    Real Madrid 2-0 Eibar

Madrid lose the ball in a dangerous area and it breaks loose, but Kike Garcia's first-time effort flies comfortably over the bar.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 80 mins

    Real Madrid 2-0 Eibar

Final change for Madrid as Karim Benzema - who now has 18 league goals this season - is replaced by Mariano.

Same for the visitors too, as Cote replaces Rafa Soares. He's having a heated debate with the manager as he walks off too.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 77 mins

    Real Madrid 2-0 Eibar

Another double change, this time from the visitors, as Pedro León and Pape Diop make way for Miguel Ángel Atienza and Kévin Rodrigues.

  11. Postpublished at 75 mins

    Real Madrid 2-0 Eibar

The two managers couldn't be any different right now.

Zinedine Zidane is walking around with a towel in his hand, while his Eibar counterpart José Luis Mendilibar is in just a t-shirt.

  12. goal

GOAL - Real Madrid 2-0 Eibarpublished at 73 mins

    Karim Benzema

    This one will stand though!

Vinícius Júnior does really well down the left-hand side to get past the full back, and he stands up a cross for an unmarked Karim Benzema to power home with his head from eight yards.

That should be the three points for the hosts.

  13. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 71 mins

    Real Madrid 1-0 Eibar

Real Madrid have had three goals disallowed for offside now.

Casemiro slots home from the edge, but the goal is ruled out with Sergio Arribas a yard offside at the start of the move.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 69 mins

    Real Madrid 1-0 Eibar

Another double change for Real Madrid as Sergio Arribas and Vinícius Júnior replace Isco and Marcelo.

  15. Postpublished at 65 mins

    Real Madrid 1-0 Eibar

It is absolutely horrible in Madrid. It is chucking it down and the wind is picking up, and it is affecting the quality of the game to be honest.

In comparison, I've just had to close my blind because I couldn't see my TV because of the sun.

    Who said England is bad?

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 62 mins

    Real Madrid 1-0 Eibar

    Wow!

It is absolutely lashing it down with rain in Madrid now, and Thibaut Courtois misjudges a back pass and the ball is rolling into the back of the net before he does brilliant to stretch out his right leg and just flick it around the post.

That was superb reactions from Courtois, but what was he doing initially!?!

  17. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 61 mins

    Real Madrid 1-0 Eibar

    A double change for Madrid.

Luka Modric and goalscorer Marco Asensio are replaced by Toni Kroos and Rodrygo.

There's also a change for the visitors as striker Sergi Enrich replaces Aleix Garcia.

  18. Postpublished at 58 mins

    Real Madrid 1-0 Eibar

I imagine Zinedine Zidane wants to wrap this game up as soon as possible so that he can drag off key men like Karim Benzema and Luka Modric - who played 270 minutes for Croatia during the international break - ahead of Liverpool on Tuesday night.

    Another corner comes to nothing.

  19. Postpublished at 55 mins

    Real Madrid 1-0 Eibar

    Wasteful from Marco Asensio.

He gets in a really good position down the right-hand side of the area, and he's got Karim Benzema, Isco and Marcelo waiting in the area but he overhits his cross and it drifts out for a throw-in.

  20. GREAT SAVE!published at 52 mins

    Real Madrid 1-0 Eibar

Good again from Madrid and Marco Asensio as he picks the ball up on the right, and drifts infield before curling towards goal with his left foot.

Marko Dmitrovic does well to parry over the bar. He's made a number of good saves now.
