Scottish Cup
The draw for the third round, due to be played on 3 April, has already been made. Here's how it looks ahead of tonight's ties.
Brora Rangers v Heart of Midlothian (19:45)
John Souttar is a welcome name on the Hearts teamsheet tonight.
The Scotland cap has not played since February 2020, when he was injured in the 16th minute of Hearts' Scottish Cup win over Rangers.
He is named on the bench by manager Robbie Neilson this evening.
We're underway in the first of tonight's Scottish Cup ties, with Nairn County hosting Montrose.
Also getting underway is the Scottish League Two match between Stranraer v Brechin City.
Scottish League Two
Tonight's two fourth-tier games are significant at both ends of the table.
Fourth-top Stranraer could move above Elgin City into third with victory at home to bottom side Brechin City.
Albion Rovers, two points above Brechin, host Edinburgh City, who would themselves move into fourth with a win and a defeat for Stranraer.
There are 12 games being played tonight. The majority of them, 10 to be exact, kick-off at 19:45.
And, the other two going ahead...
The big news today of course is that Aberdeen have appointed Stephen Glass as their new manager.
The Pittodrie club parted company with Derek McInnes in March after eight years at the helm following a run of disappointing results.
And Glass, who is the current head coach with Atlanta United 2, now returns to the club where he began his playing career.
"It is a real honour to be named Aberdeen FC manager," the 44-year-old told the official Aberdeen website.Read more
Scottish Cup second round
While the romance of the cup takes our live commentary up to the Highland village of Brora with Hearts, the game of the night is the all-Championship tie down on the banks of the River Clyde between Greenock Morton and Dunfermline Athletic.
Another Highland League side hoping for a Championship scalp are Buckie Thistle as they host Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Keith will fancy their chances of an upset at home to a Clyde side struggling at the foot of League One, while Nairn County also have home advantage against Montrose and Formartine United against League Two side Annan Athletic.
Elgin City will be hoping for a Championship scalp at home to Ayr United and another League Two side, Stirling Albion, as they host Raith Rovers.
Meanwhile, Arbroath, second bottom of the second tier, look to have a battle on their hands at home to League One leaders Falkirk.
Sportsound has already started its build-up to tonight's games on BBC Radio Scotland MW and digital.
Join host Richard Gordon, as live commentary comes from Brora, where the local Rangers, the reigning Highland League champions, entertain Championship leaders Hearts.
The Scottish Cup returns.
Having had a break in play because of Covid-19 restrictions, with talk of it being shelved, the competition resumes with 12 second-round ties tonight that were due to be played on 9 January.
There's also a couple of games in League Two.
Stay with us for the build-up, live commentary and post-match reaction on the website and BBC Radio Scotland.
