  1. HALF-TIME Dundee 1-2 Dunfermlinepublished at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 27 March 2021

What a half of Championship football that was.

Dunfermline got off to a flying start with two goals in the opening six minutes from Kevin O'Hara and Craig Wighton.

Dundee reacted well to going behind and got their reward when Jason Cummings tapped in from close range.

We can only hope the second half gives us as much excitement.

  2. CLOSE!published at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 27 March 2021

    Dundee 1-2 Dunfermline

Despite being two down so early on Dundee have arguably been the better team here.

Again it's Lee Ashcroft who gets on the end of a Paul McGowan cross but can't find the target.

  3. Postpublished at 20:03 Greenwich Mean Time 27 March 2021

    Dundee 1-2 Dunfermline

Dundee have responded very well since going two goals down, this time Max Anderson drives into the box but his effort trickles wide.

The home side's momentum is slowed a little as Osman Sow trudges off injured to be replaced by Danny Mullen.

    Jason Cummings

You've got to feel sorry for Owain Fon Williams here. Osman Sow pelts a couple of efforts at the Dunfermline keeper who does brilliantly to keep the striker out.

Sow's last strike is parried and loops out to the waiting Jason Cummings who, like all good strikers, is in the right place at the right time.

    Game on.

    Dundee 0-2 Dunfermline

A blistering start from Dunfermline has put them in control of this game.

Kevin O'Hara's sweeping finish was followed up three mintes later courtesy of Craig Wighton's deft chip.

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 19:45 Greenwich Mean Time 27 March 2021

    Dundee 0-2 Dunfermline

Paul McMullan pulls out a typical drop of the shoulder before firing across Fon Williams but the Welsh keeper gets down well to parry it out.

Max Anderson follows it up but his strike lacks the power to really threaten.

  7. CLOSE!published at 19:37 Greenwich Mean Time 27 March 2021

    Dundee 0-2 Dunfermline

Dundee have responded well here and Lee Ashcroft almost comes back to haunt his old team.

Similar to his goals last week against Alloa, the defender climbs well to meet a corner but heads wide of the post.

Dundee have got a big task on their hands now, the only positive is that they've still got a lot of time to recover here.

  10. goal

    Craig Wighton

It's an unbelievable start for Stevie Crawford's men!

It's really poor defending from Dundee though, as the ball bobbles around before Craig Wighton delicately dinks it over Adam Legzdins.

Sensational from the former Hearts man.

    Kevin O'Hara

    What a start for Dunfermline!

Craig Wighton drives into the left hand side of the box before Christie Elliot tackles him but is only able to poke the ball towards Kevin O'Hara.

He sweeps the ball into the top corner to give the away side the perfect opening.

    Dundee v Dunfermline (19:20)

It had looked for some time that Dunfermline were comfortably the second best team in the league, only losing once in their first 12 games.

Since the turn of the year though, Stevie Crawford's men have struggled to put a run of form together. Alternating between wins and losses in their last seven league games.

The Pars have lost their last two against Chamionship opposition after Morton knocked them out of the Scottish Cup during the week.

  14. Dundee searching for consistencypublished at 19:14 Greenwich Mean Time 27 March 2021

    Dundee v Dunfermline (19:20)

James McPake's side have endured a turbulent season at times but still find themselves well placed to finish in the playoff spots.

With games in hand on their nearest rivals they can control their own destiny but consistency will be needed if they are to play any post season football, something which has been lacking for most of this campaign.

They are looking to make it back to back wins in the league for only the second time this season after winning in Alloa last week.

  15. Henderson straight inpublished at 19:10 Greenwich Mean Time 27 March 2021

    Dundee v Dunfermline (19:20)

Dunfermline's latest acquisition Ewan Henderson, who joined on loan from Celtic during the week, comes straight into tonight's squad.

The 21-year old burst onto the scene in 2017 putting on a man of the match performance on his Celtic debut. However, the attacking midfielder has only made a handful of appearences since.

He last played in Celtic's 0-0 draw at home to Livingston in January.

  16. No Adam againpublished at 19:06 Greenwich Mean Time 27 March 2021

    Dundee v Dunfermline (19:20)

On the bench last week and not even in the squad tonight but Charlie Adam is at Dens Park to cheer his team on.

Dundee didn't need him last week as they cruised to victory over Alloa but you expect Dunfermline will present a far more formidable challenge this evening.
