Thumbs up if you want a breakaway European Super League. Thumbs down if you don't.

Senior Uefa figures have been left furious at reports that 11 major European clubs, including five from England, have signed up to a breakaway European Super League.

BBC Sport was told last week of plans for some kind of confirmation around an ESL but they seemed to have been headed off on Friday, when Uefa said a new-look 36-team Champions League was expected to be confirmed at Monday's executive committee meeting.

Juventus owner Andrea Agnelli, Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and AC Milan chief executive Ivan Gazidis would all have had a significant input into the Champions League discussions on Friday.

However, it appears those clubs are among those to have broken ranks, to the fury of Uefa, whose president Aleksander Ceferin wanted to stave off a Super League threat.

None of the clubs concerned have responded to questions about the proposals.

Arsenal - like at the start of the game - have a chance within the first minute. Alexandre Lacazette blasts one in from about 20 yards but it flies a metre or two wide.

Millimetre of heel offside with back to goal. What's clear and obvious about that? The micro managers of VAR sucking the life and enjoyment out of footall yet again.

    James H, Kingston upon Thames

VAR controlled football has simply destroyed all of the spontaneity and the joy of celebrating in the moment. These days you might as well go and make a cuppa for 5 mins while they find a reason to rule out a goal.

Arsenal started this game brilliantly and as it wore on they slowed down a bit and there was a bit more confidence about Fulham - by the end of the half there's not much between the two teams.

Arsenal look slightly more dangerous, they have a bit more quality up front but not much between the two at the moment. Scott Parker will just say Arsenal look like they're tiring, so keep going and just try and take one of those chances. But saying that, I suspect he's said that once or twice before this season.

Neil Moriarty: I used to plead each week for VAR to be introduced to the Premier League. Now I just want to see the back of it.

Mturi Katana: One day the hair strand on a players hand will be offside. VAR ruining football

Fulham have scored just six goals in the first half of their last 22 Premier League games, failing to score in the first period of 11 of their last 13 league matches.

That was the last kick of an entertaining, yet goalless, first half.

  11. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 45+1 mins

    Arsenal 0-0 Fulham

Arsenal have another one disallowed, but this one is more obvious and doesn't need VAR.

Emile Smith Rowe is clearly offside from Alexandre Lacazette's through ball and he pokes it past the keeper but it's rolling wide. It's hooked across goal by Granit Xhaka and Joachim Andersen turns it into his own net.

    But it's ruled out.

Dani Ceballos hasn't scored a league goal in over two years now.

VAR saving Fulham there. The old digital lines were out, it was a close one but it was at least a foot that was offside and not an arm.

I'm so sorry Fulham fans - we almost knew it was going to happen. It has been the story of their season, begin to play well and get very involved in the game and begin to push forward. But I'm not sure this is going to count - Bukayo Saka looks offside to me.

    Dani Ceballos

Nice football from Arsenal and Dani Ceballos has his first Premier League goal.

The ball is crossed in from the left and Alexandre Lacazette flicks a header into the path of Bukayo Saka. He finds Hector Bellerin, who crosses for Ceballos to head home.

Arsenal were playing with intensity and confidence but it's hard to keep that up, especially because they couldn't score a goal in that period. At the moment we've got a much much more even game on our hands.
