Brendan Rodgers talking to BBC Sport: "We weren't as good as you are probably making us out to be. First half I wasn't happy at all. We weren't pecise enough with our passing, second half we controlled the game.

"Overall, really pleased as a win in the Premier League is always huge. We were good but we can be much better.

"There is no doubt Kelechi is scoring and looks like he can score every game. There are areas of the game he can improve, like not losing the ball, but we are so pleased for him because he is working really hard.

"Tonight was always going to be a big test. We have to control ourselves and our own performance. Delighted for the guys."

  4. 'It was a horrendous miss'published at 22:17 British Summer Time 22 April 2021

    Leicester 3-0 West Brom

    West Bromwich Albion

More from Sam Allardyce: "You can see why Leicester are where they are in the league, and why they are in the cup final. We couldn't cope with them.

"We tried to get forwards when we had the ball but we were a long long way off where we have been. Leicester are a lot better than Southampton and far better than Chelsea - they are as good as the top boys. They are only behind Man City on that performance.

"The front two in the first half gave us a hard time. We did have the one chance - it wasn't even a bad miss, it was horrendous.

"We wanted to play Villa last Saturday, they wanted to play us but we weren't allowed to. There is no need for us to play tonight and then Sunday. Why?

    "Fine margins determine these games."

West Brom manager Sam Allardyce to BT Sport: "Leicester were far too good for us, in the first half particularly. We tried to look after their front two and one of the main reasons for our recent results has been our defensive solidarity. Today Leicester tore it apart. We couldn't cope with them.

"It was a respectable second half but we didn't get much at the other end. We had a good chance to open the scoring but Mbaye Diagne missed his kick and those are the sort of chances we can't afford to miss.

"In the end we thoroughly deserved to get beat. Was it great pressure from Leicester that forced us into so many errors? They are on a high, you can see why they are in the top four, they are as good as anyone in the league apart from Manchester City.

"You have to get the basics right and those basics deserted us tonight. We need to win five out of six to have a sniff. We'll give it our best shot."

  7. 'It's the dream ticket'published at 22:09 British Summer Time 22 April 2021

    FT: Leicester 3-0 West Brom

    Leicester City

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers talking to BT Sport: "It was a good win, any win is a big win. Our intensity was really good in the first half hour. I wasn't happy at half time as our passing wasn't good enough.

"I am not thinking about the other teams, we have to think about ourselves. We can only control ourselves.

"Jamie Vardy has done it throughout his career and Kelechi Iheanacho is now showing his qualities - he can still improve as he is still making too many mistakes, but he is getting in there.

"This group will sometimes lose games but they are so honest and they want to be better. When you have that it is the dream ticket. It is all you can ask for as a coach."

Leicester are one of the big six - well, they are top four! Certainly ahead of Arsenal and Tottenham, who are meant to be in that big six.

They are flying at the moment and creeping up on the rest. Credit to the owners here, always backing Brendan Rodgers.

Credit to Rodgers. He is a superb manager. He gets the best out of these group of players. If they get into the Champions League they will keep on improving and attract more bigger and better players - and this squad is just going to take off.

Leicester have 59 points from their 32 Premier League games this season; in their top-flight history, only in 1962-63 (63, adjusting to three points/win) and in 2015-16 (69) have they had a better tally from their opening 32 matches to a campaign.

  11. 'We learned from last year'published at 21:57 British Summer Time 22 April 2021

    FT: Leicester 3-0 West Brom

    Leicester City

Leicester's Jonny Evans talking to BT Sport: "It was a good first-half performance. When you go 3-0 up it is going to be difficult for West Brom.

"We learned from last year how easy points gaps can be eaten up. We went away for the dleayed winter break, got off to a bad start and it cost us."

  12. 'We should have had more'published at 21:57 British Summer Time 22 April 2021

    Leicester 3-0 West Brom

    Leicester City

Leicester striker Jamie Vardy: "We knew we had to win tonight and keep the momentum going. We dominated.

"I couldn't really celebrate my goal because of VAR. I hadn't scored for a while but I have been contributing and helping the team.

"Nothing has changed with Kelechi Iheanacho, it's just clicked for him. That's what we see in training every day. He should have scored more today but so should I!

"We just want to progress and see where we end up."

Sam Allardyce will be hurting now and West Brom did start the game well but it was missing that golden opportunity in the first half.

All the credit to Leicester, though. The game was over in the opening 45 minutes. In the second half, Leicester were in second gear and they were comfortable.

Another three points and it is looking like Leicester will finish in the Champions League spots.

    Leicester 3-0 West Brom

It would be an outstanding season for Leicester if they finish third in the league and win the FA Cup. It's what the fans and owners have wanted for this football club - and I believe they have the right man in Brendan Rodgers, one of the best managers.

People might not like me saying this but it wouldn't surprise me if Tottenham come knocking on the door and try and get Rodgers.

Rodgers is an ambitious manager but he can be ambitious with Leicester. They are in the Champions League spots, they have money, they can buy players. At the moment, Leicester's squad is doing better than Tottenham.

Jamie Vardy is a strong contender for man of the match. One assist and getting a goal - brilliant news. It's not just good for Vardy, it's good for Leicester having him back in form and scoring goals, with the FA Cup final soon and the run-in at the end of the season.
