Is the sun setting on West Brom's time in the Premier League? It would be the greatest of great escapes if they get out of it from here.

That's all from us, you can watch all the action from today's Premier League games on MOTD2 on BBC One and online from 22;30 BST.

    See you later.

  2. 'A tremendous performance'published at 21:35 British Summer Time 25 April 2021

    West Bromwich Albion

West Brom boss Sam Allardyce, speaking to BBC Sport: "Pressure can get to you in those situations and it was unfortunately the mistake we made for their goal that got them the equaliser. Obviously a great performance in how we fought back from a sloppy start.

"There were a number of chances for us to get the third after we scored our second. In the end they capitalised on our error. It wasn't a great goal they scored.

"Really disappointed for the lads but a good recovery from Leicester and a good performance. It is one I can say to the players well done for the performance and I am upset for them for not getting the three points.

"Tremendous performance from the players having played on Thursday night and not having the right recovery time."

Can you stay up? "We have to try. All we can do is continue to try and win every game that comes our way. Another big derby next against Wolves and we have to try and do the double.

"The defeats have been close to draws and the draws have been close to victories. When I first arrived we found it difficult to compete at Premier League level, we have done now consistently for 10 or 12 matches but unfortunately we haven't won enough matches."

  4. 'We fully deserved at least a draw'published at 21:29 British Summer Time 25 April 2021

    Aston Villa

Aston Villa boss Dean Smith told BT Sport: "I do think a point was the least we deserved. It would have been a travesty if we lost this game today. Especially to a farcical penalty and an own goal.

"We started well and I think our finishing let us down.

"I don't see what part of West Brom's penalty is a penalty. I just don't see it.

"I'm really pleased for Keinan [Davies], he's a really hardworking boy. That first Premier League goal will do him the world of good.

"We've just played Liverpool and Man City and we pushed both of them. At Liverpool it was a last-minute goal and against City well they're Man City. We fully deserved at least a draw today."

  5. 'Defeat would have been a travesty'published at 21:24 British Summer Time 25 April 2021

FT: Aston Villa 2-2 West Brom

    Aston Villa

Aston Villa boss Dean Smith, speaking to BBC Sport: "It would have been a travesty if we lost, that's for sure. We controlled the game, had a really good start. We scored the penalty, got given one against us, not sure why. I think I will have to prepare the lads for a non-contact season next season. I think there must have been a major gust of wind that blew him over [for their penalty].

"I thought we controlled the ball really well, we moved it well and caused them problems. You would not have thought it was West Brom who were fighting for their lives. We showed we can be a team when Jack's not playing.

"We showed a lot of character. We have to do a bit better from our set pieces but overall it was a better performance from us."

  6. 'We just couldn't hang on'published at 21:14 British Summer Time 25 April 2021

FT: Aston Villa 2-2 West Brom

    West Bromwich Albion

West Brom boss Sam Allardyce told BT Sport: "Not quite for us unfortunately. I can't praise the players enough. They've done it against all the odds and recovered from a disappointing Thursday result.

"My players today were absolutely fantastic. In the end, the third goal didn't come our way. One slip and we payed the price.

"Overall, after a shaky start and a sloppy penalty given away, we grew into the game. We were exceptionally dangerous and their keeper had to pull off some saves.

"It's a great shame, but I'm really proud of the players.

"Like I said, when we could, we put them under real pressure, but the pressure at the end, we just couldn't hang on.

"There's been plenty of games like this for us where we've ended up drawing instead of winning. But at least the performances have been there.

"If we get a lead, let's make sure we hang on to it. But I don't want to be too critical of my players today."

  7. 'We want to finish how we started'published at 21:09 British Summer Time 25 April 2021

FT: Aston Villa 2-2 West Brom

    Aston Villa

Aston Villa goalscorer Keinan Davis told BT Sport: "It was great to get my first goal. To pick up a point was good.

"Before I went on, the coach was telling me to sniff around their defence.

    "It's about time I scored. I'm delighted.

"The gaffer has put it in our heads to keep going and to end the season how we started it."

    All over!

West Brom were so close to keeping their slim hopes alive with a win but in the end they finish with a draw that doesn't do much for their chances of a great escape.

A good fight back by Aston Villa and a deserved result in the end.

Kyle Bartley takes far too long to deal with it. He doesn't know what's around him.

Credit to Keinan Davis, he just pounced on it.

This could be the final straw for West Brom. This result could have given them the confidence they needed.

    Disaster for West Brom!

It is a horror show in defence as Kyle Bartley chests a downward header in front of his own goal - just get rid! - but that lapse in focus allows Keinan Davis to steal in and snatch an equaliser.

The Baggies were so, so close but undone by a mistake at the end.
