As in England, there has been fan protests outside the Cadiz stadium against the Super League. Real and their president Perez have been one of the club's pushing for the creation of the new event.
While most of the clubs who initially announced their involvement have now withdrawn, including the six English clubs, Real seemingly remain fully committed to it.
