    Former Real Madrid, Man City and Middlesbrough striker Alvaro Negredo starts.

    Real Madrid make five changes from the team that drew 0-0 with Getafe.

    Rafael Varane and Nacho come into defence to form a back three. Casemiro and Antonio Blanco start in midfield, with Karim Benzema returning uo front.

    Victor Chust, Luka Modric, Isco, Marco Asensio and Mariano Diaz drop out.

    As in England, there has been fan protests outside the Cadiz stadium against the Super League. Real and their president Perez have been one of the club's pushing for the creation of the new event.

    While most of the clubs who initially announced their involvement have now withdrawn, including the six English clubs, Real seemingly remain fully committed to it.

    Welcome to our coverage of Cadiz v Real Madrid in La Liga.

    It's fair to say it has been a pretty eventful week for the visitors and their president Florentino Perez.
