    What a response!

Tranmere win their FIFTH corner of the match in the aftermath of that Morecambe goal and after it's cleared, they do well to work it wide.

Peter Clarke does well to beat his marker, make a race towards goal and head home at the far post for the hosts.

    Tranmere 0-0 Morecambe

Jay Spearing has looked pretty dangerous for Tranmere so far and he's almost proved the difference as they look to take the lead.

He sends a lovely ball into the Morecambe box towards the onrushing James Vaughan, who attempts a dive to get a head onto it but it just beats him.

    Good stuff from the hosts.

Liam Ridehalgh puts an attempted through-ball out for a Morecambe throw-in in a rare error for the hosts so far.

The game has just about calmed down after a pretty relentless opening 10 minutes or so.

It's been all Tranmere so far, but the visitors have defended well to their credit.

Morecambe are hoping to reach League One for the first time in their history.

The Shrimps are into the League Two play-offs for only the second time since their 2007 promotion from non-league.

Derek Adams' side may have missed out on automatic promotion despite beating Bradford on the final day of the season, but Adams expects his side to showcase their talents in the play-offs.

"We couldn't have asked for any more than taking automatic promotion to the final day of the season," he told BBC Radio Lancashire.

"We find ourselves in the play-offs and we would have taken that at the start of the season. It's a fantastic occasion for the players to show how good they are."

Many clubs try different approaches to find form ahead of the play-offs. Tranmere have sacked their manager.

Rovers won just two of their final 11 games to drop out of automatic promotion contention, scoring just seven times in that stretch.

Caretaker bosses Ian Dawes and Andy Parkinson will be leading the side tonight.

Expect attacking football. The duo presided over a five-game spell in November before Hill’s appointment which included a big 5-0 win over Grimsby and a 4-3 thriller with Port Vale.

Will the gamble pay off for Rovers?
