    Blackpool 3-2 Oxford (6-2 agg)

Oxford have put some superb balls in the box, one such from the right which has three queuing up at the back post but neither can attack it and make it count.

Elliot Lee and Brandon Barker are coming off, and Olamide Shodipo and Dan Agyei are on.

Anthony Forde curls his free-kick at goal but the Blackpool wall does its job.

    Ball eventually is hoisted away.

    Blackpool 3-2 Oxford (6-2 agg)

Elliot Lee is clobbered on the edge of the box by Kevin Stewart and gives away a free-kick. Gets a yellow too.

It comes as Blackpool looked to have frustrated Oxford's attempts to crack them open. They had done the job but are now under pressure.

    Blackpool 3-2 Oxford (6-2 agg)

Brilliantly worked by Ollie Turton as he is shepherded by four Oxford defenders but still manages to slide a cross in which is cleared.

Just wondering if Oxford's desperation is affecting their composure at times. It must do to be fair. They're still trying to play though and have added so much to this tie over both legs.

Blackpool are drilled to military precision though. Barring the second goal, where Rob Atkinson was given the freedom of the box.

This game is hotter than the chicken karahi I managed to wolf down at half-time. Mouth-blisteringly hot. Spicy.

Can't take your eyes off it.

Still feels really open and exciting in spite of a four-goal cushion.

Jerry Yates celebrates his goalImage source, Rex Features

Just have to mention Jerry Yates' celebration, lost in all the excitement.

He ran to the bench, and held up a t-shirt paying tribute to Jordan Banks, the Blackpool lad who sadly lost his life while struck by lightning playing football.

    Lovely touch.

Bloomfield Road is again awake, alive and abuzz with noise.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 58 mins

    Blackpool 3-2 Oxford (6-2 agg)

Matty Taylor lets his emotions get the better of him as he's booked for following through on Blackpool goalkeeper Chris Maxwell.

He later, once the keeper has had treatment, goes over to shake hands by way of reparation.

Taylor does have a bit of a temper, we saw it in the first half too.

Scratch that, perhaps. Blackpool come roaring back and score to re-establish their lead and advantage.

Demetri Mitchell again the outlet, inswinging a cross to the back stick, where Jerry Yates takes a touch and coolly rattles it past Jack Stevens into the far corner. Bullet.

    Cue bedlam again.

    Rob Atkinson

Brilliant header from Rob Atkinson gives Oxford a glimmer of hope at overturning the deficit and it's come following a sustained period of pressure.

It was a really deep free-kick to the back-post which Atkinson shuffled cross to meet and had a free nod to score.

    Game on.

    Blackpool 2-1 Oxford (5-1 agg)

Karl Robinson is serving a touchline ban for Oxford following a feisty game up at Sunderland, so he is having to look on from the stands for this one.

Must be a frustrating affair, the thumping effort from Henry a moment ago was so close.

  11. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 49 mins

    Blackpool 2-1 Oxford (5-1 agg)

Oxford come close. James Henry is found by Anthony Forde all on his own in the box but his fierce drive smacks the post and bounces out.

Then a ball into the back post is guided just wide with the defence backpedalling.

The home side aren't home and dry yet.

Bit disappointing from Blackpool substitute Marvin Ekpiteta as he hared back toward, he was shrugged off the ball by Matty Taylor who got a half-chance at goal which rolled wide.

Needs to be sharper there, Taylor takes those chances usually.

  13. Second-halfpublished at 45 mins

    Blackpool 2-1 Oxford (5-1 agg)

Blackpool 45 minutes away from Wembley, and a four-goal lead to defend.

The home side get us under way.

Blackpool have looked comfortable throughout this game, and Oxford barely had any time to build ascendancy after taking the lead, as the reply was so rapid.

    And breathe.

    Some game that.

Oxford in front from an early goal by Matty Taylor, but almost immediately Elliot Embleton curls in a beauty and Kenny Dougall adds a second shortly after.

Blackpool have a four-goal advantage now. The crowd has been fervent throughout.

    Really entertaining stuff.

First time Oxford have managed to get between those Blackpool lines, but Josh Ruffels loses the ball and then scythes through the back of Dan Ballard.

    Foul. Promise though.

Neil Critchley has instilled such a pride and belief in defence for Blackpool that they are unfazed at not having much possession.

Oxford get a cross into the box from Anthony Forde on the right which finds Josh Ruffels in space.

He tries to dink it into a dangerous area but it evades the lurking Elliot Lee and is booted away by Elliot Embleton.

    Two added minutes.

    Blackpool 2-1 Oxford (5-1 agg)

There's real discipline to Blackpool's defensive work, and they're being made to work now as Oxford throw a few shapes and angles at their structure.

The home side keep getting there though.

Demetri Mitchell is poleaxed in midfield by Mark Sykes, Blackpool get the free-kick but they seem to have settled into a more conservative approach in possession.

    Blackpool 2-1 Oxford (5-1 agg)

    Oxford come close.

James Husband powers the corner away but the ball loops up and into the box and a seemingly offside James Henry gets to it but prods over.

Chris Maxwell gets a booking in the Blackpool goal for his protests. He thought it was offside for definite.
