Well that just about brings the half to a close and Morecambe are on the verge of a visit to Wembley.

Aaron Wildig's ninth-minute strike has given the home fans much to be cheerful about.

Tranmere, on the other hand, need a goal and they need it fast.

Tranmere's Paul Lewis gets onto the end of a loose ball on the edge of the Morecambe box and swings in a right-footed shot goalbound.

But Letheren is on hand to put in a fine save to his right to deny him.

This sums up Tranmere's fortunes in the first half.

They win a corner as they get the chance to try and pressure Morecambe before the half is done.

However it sails out of the box and eventually rolls away for a throw-in at the far side to the hosts.

Carlos Mendes Gomes puts in a fierce shot from well outside the box as Morecambe look to round this tie off before half-time.

However Tranmere goalkeeper Joe Murphy is wise to it as he collects the ball with ease.

Cole Stockton puts in a lovely swinging cross into the box with his Morecambe teammate Aaron Wildig rushing in to get on the end it.

But there's too much weight on the pass as it goes out for a goal kick before the Morecambe goalscorer could threaten a second.

Better stuff from the hosts after a quiet spell.

Liam Feeney sends it into the box but it's well blocked away by Morecambe before the visitors can work a challenge at goal.

Tranmere eventually work it back into the box via a long ball but James Vaughan can't quite get onto it before it sails out for a goal kick.

Further to the previous entry, the tempo is still a little flat at the minute after an entertaining opening 15 minutes or so.

Tranmere dominating the recent possession but plenty of long balls that Morecambe are doing well to deal with.

The hosts win a free-kick after James Vaughan is judged to have used a high arm in an aerial challenge with Yann Songo'o.

Morecambe concede another free-kick for a cheap foul soon after.

The tempo of this one's certainly changed a bit since the goal.

The subsequent corner is put just wide by Yann Songo'o as Morecambe pile on the pressure.

What have Tranmere got in response to that Aaron Wildig goal? Well they've got their work cut out now.

A reminder that away goals don't count in the English Football League play-offs. So they will need at least three goals from this point to seal a Wembley return.
