    What a game that was.

Chelsea have reached their first-ever Women's Champions League final after beating Bayern Munich 4-1 on the day and 5-3 on aggregate in a dramatic semi-final second leg.

Barcelona will stand in the way of the Blues in Sweden two weeks' today.

Chelsea are just the second English team to reach the final, emulating Arsenal, who won the Uefa Women's Cup in 2007.

Emma Hayes could yet lead the west London club to a historic quadruple.

Next up, the Blues can seal the Women's Super League title in their next two games.

Thanks for joining us today. See you next time.

Chelsea are in the final and anything is possible now. They are very well organised and disciplined and will go into the final with full belief.

It's going to be a tough game because Barcelona are a typical Spanish team. They like to press high and dominate possession of the ball.

But anything is possible for this Chelsea side, they just need to go out and deliver on the day and enjoy it.

Bayern were in the game right until the final whistle and that's all you can ask as a manager.

But I felt Chelsea were better than them over the two legs and deserve to be in the final.

Emma Hayes has done an amazing job with this football club. To put themselves into a Champions League final is outstanding.

It's amazing. This is why we play football. It means everything. We believed from the first minute and it was unbelievable work from the whole team. When my goal went in, it was the best feeling ever. When Fran put the last one in, it was a relief. It was too stressful at the end. I went off and it was awful to be on the outside. To win the final would be the biggest thing in my career.

They were always going to be threatening, but the team put bodies on the line. Someone described us as 'mentality monsters' and we are the best. We have been through a lot together. I have been here nine years and I am going to cry on the way home. I want to win and I just love winning. Getting to the final will shut up Europe, in terms of what we are doing in this country.

That last three minutes, watching the ball go into our box was the worst moment. I won't give you loads of platitudes. I have worked my whole life for today. In these situations they are so tense. This is thousands of hours of work. I am so proud of myself. I am so fortunate to be working for a club I adore.

Chelsea deserved it from the first whistle to the last. They got numbers behind the ball, they defended well when they needed to, they put their bodies on the line, they blocked shots, they defended well from set-pieces.

Emma Hayes told me before the game she needed big performances from Kirby, Ji and Harder and she got them - they all delivered with goals.

That was an outstanding end-to-end game. It had everything. It had goals, it had mistakes and then Fran Kirby, when Bayern were pushing, trying to get themselves into the Champions League final with the keeper up, got the ball on halfway, ran on and pushed it into the net.

Chelsea thoroughly deserve that. It was a brilliant performance to put them in the final.

  9. Barcelona await in finalpublished at 14:30 British Summer Time 2 May 2021

A reminder, Chelsea will face Spanish side Barcelona in the final in Gothenburg on 16 May.

The Blues could have the Women's Super League title wrapped up by then.

Wins over Tottenham on Wednesday and Reading on Sunday will seal the silverware for the west London club.

  10. Quadruple hopes still alivepublished at 14:26 British Summer Time 2 May 2021

    Time to reflect.

Chelsea have become just the second English club to reach the European final after booking their place in their first-ever Women's Champions League final.

The Blues finally win a semi-final tie at the third attempt, following defeats by Wolfsburg in 2018 and Lyon in 2019.

And Chelsea's hopes of a quadruple are still alive.

What a relief that is for Chelsea.

There were moments in injury time when it looked like Chelsea might be denied.

There are big celebrations from Blues boss Emma Hayes and the Chelsea squad at the final whistle.

Then Hayes goes over to commiserate with the beaten Bayern players and staff.

    Chelsea are going to Gothenburg!

In a quite ridiculous and frantic finish, Chelsea score on the counter-attack to seal victory.

Bayern keeper Laura Benkarth is up for that corner and stays up in the hope of making a difference.

Chelsea eventually turn over the ball and Erin Cuthbert releases Fran Kirby to race away and finish into an empty net and make the result safe.

Last-ditch defending keeps Chelsea alive after a Bayern corner.

Ann-Katrin Berger makes a fine save from a low shot from Klara Buhl and then the rebound deflects off Viviane Asseyi and goalwards.

Magdalena Eriksson hacks it off the line.

    Heart-in-mouth time for the Blues.
