  1. PENALTY TO BURNLEYpublished at 17 mins

    Burnley 0-0 West Ham

It's all about the big man. Chris Wood keeps the ball alive, chipping the ball over Diop to get himself a better angle, but before he can attempt a shot, Soucek takes him down with a clumsy tackle.

The Kiwi will have a chance to score another goal.

  2. 'It'd be a miracle'published at 20:30 British Summer Time 3 May 2021

    West Brom 1-1 Wolves

    West Bromwich Albion

West Brom boss Sam Allardyce to BBC Sport: "It's massively disappointing because overall we deserved a victory on the chances we created and how clear-cut they were. You look at how lucky their goal was.

"We didn't play so well in the first half an hour and had to change system. We had one cleared off the line. They got their massively lucky goal off a massive deflection.

"To be fair the lads didn't let their heads go down. I just said play the way you're facing because the rain is coming down more and more. The opposition will make more mistakes if we get quality balls forward quickly - and that brought us back into the game.

"Conor Townsend and Conor Gallagher were one on one and neither of them converted. That would have had us smiling and fighting. Well we're still fighting - we can still get to 38 points. It'd be a miracle if all the other teams above us lose their games."

    Burnley 0-0 West Ham

Got a really nice mix or brains and brawn in this West Ham side. When everyone is fit, they pack a big punch.

  4. Postpublished at 14 mins

    Burnley 0-0 West Ham

West Ham are warming up this now.

Coufal's cross beats the flailing outstretched arm of Pope, but also clears the head of Antonio, who is lurking with intent.

  5. Postpublished at 12 mins

    Burnley 0-0 West Ham

Close! Certainly the closest we've come to an opener.

Antonio drives again with the ball, but his low cross is a bit aimless. Burnley only half clear, gifting the ball to Lanzini, who curls a shot just over the bar.

Burnley don't want to be inviting efforts like that from players of Lanzini's class. He can hit a ball.

  6. Postpublished at 10 mins

    Burnley 0-0 West Ham

Important punch from Lukasz Fabianski. Another Burnley cross is aimed at Chris Wood at the back post, but before he can make contact the first of the West Ham keeper clears the ball away.

  7. 'So near, yet so far away'published at 20:23 British Summer Time 3 May 2021

    FT: West Brom 1-1 Wolves

    West Bromwich Albion

West Brom boss Sam Allardyce: "You can't miss chances like that, in the position we are in. The two chances in the second half, only the keeper to beat, is a big miss for us and makes life that even more difficult. We can only hope all the others lose above us and we win all four games. That extra two points would have given us a little bit more.

"We are dedicated professionals, have had a really good run of form. One thing we are missing and that is wins and converting chances. We got so near, yet so far away. We have to keep going to the end and we have to believe."

  8. Postpublished at 6 mins

    Burnley 0-0 West Ham

West Ham really have missed the big fella up top. Michail Antonio shows urgency and drive with his first attacking effort, which sees him shift to the edge of the box before slicing a shot wide.

  9. Postpublished at 6 mins

    Burnley 0-0 West Ham

    The early aerial barrage continues.

Lowton looks to curl in a cross from deep but again it is a West Ham defender who meets it.

  10. Postpublished at 5 mins

    Burnley 0-0 West Ham

West Ham get themselves into a bit of bother with a misplaced pass that allows Burnley to work the ball to Dwight McNeil. Guess who he goes in search of with his cross? The delivery doesn't reach Chris Wood, though, and the visitors clear.

  11. 'We had some good moments'published at 20:17 British Summer Time 3 May 2021

    West Brom 1-1 Wolves

    Wolves

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo to Sky Sports: "We controlled it from the beginning. We had some good moments. We did a good game.

"We should have done better in particular moments. We created many chances to have the final pass and final touch better. West Brom fight very hard. It's hard to play because they're very physical.

"They went for a back three and then Sam changed again. I think we started really well and controlled the game. After the change of West Brom we had momentum until the end of the first half.

"[Fabio Silva] was good. We had a lot of young players. We want them to work hard. Fabio did, he had goal and a couple of chances that required better finishing. Against West Brom, it's good to give him the experience of the physicality the Premier League requires."

  12. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Burnley 0-0 West Ham

Fornals nips at the heels of Charlie Taylor, with the Burnley full-back coming out on top with a hooked clearance. Already seen a couple of punted balls in the direction of Chris Wood, who immediately sets about making himself a nuisance.

And away we go. This probably matters more to West Ham as regards actual repercussions on the table, but Burnley don't do downing tools.

  16. Home discomfortspublished at 20:10 British Summer Time 3 May 2021

Burnley v West Ham (20:15 BST)

Here is a potentially unwanted record for Burnley...

The Clarets are winless in their last seven home matches, one short of their club top-flight record set in 1890 and matched in 1924 and 1971.

Turf Moor not quite the fortress they would have hoped this campaign. In fact, all three of their league victories in the past 14 games have come away from home.

  18. Record points haulpublished at 20:08 British Summer Time 3 May 2021

Burnley v West Ham (20:15 BST)

Even if West Ham don't make it into the Champions League, there are other milestones to aim for. The Hammers require seven points from the final five games to equal their highest Premier League points total of 62. Definitely a realistic target.

David Moyes' side have already equalled the club Premier League record for most wins overall (16) and away (7) in a season.

They could do with arresting their current little blip, though.

They have lost four of their past eight league matches, as many as in their previous 23. They've also lost consecutive games in the Premier League for the first time since their opening two games of the season. They last lost three in a row in June 2020.

  19. Three in a row?published at 20:07 British Summer Time 3 May 2021

Burnley v West Ham (20:15 BST)

Burnley actually have a very good home record against West Ham.

The Clarets have beaten West Ham at Turf Moor in each of the the past two seasons. They could win three successive Premier League home fixtures versus a single opponent for the first time.

Burnley have also scored in all but one of their 29 top-flight home matches versus West Ham. The exception was a 0-0 draw in February 1928.

    Cursed it.

  20. Wood you believe it?published at 20:05 British Summer Time 3 May 2021

Burnley v West Ham (20:15 BST)

No prizes for guessing who West Ham need to keep an eye on for Burnley this evening. Chris Wood is in the form of his life, with the big Kiwi having been directly involved in nine of his side's last 11 goals.

That includes the first-half hat-trick he bagged at Wolves last time out. He was a one-man wrecking ball at Molineux.
