United on paper look a great team, but the same problems persist. Great attacking depth papering over cracks in our defence. Been needing a quality centre back since Vidic left.

Great save, good strong right arm from Martinez, but no other Man Utd player was there for a tap in from three yards.
Aston Villa 1-0 Man Utd
Mason Greenwood drives into the box and his low strike from an angle is pushed away by Emi Martinez, hits Ezri Konsa on his chest and the loose ball almost trickles into the Villa net before Konsa manages to hook away.
Aston Villa 1-0 Man Utd
Marcus Rashford takes aim from the edge of the area and his first-time effort is struck well enough but again just too close to Emi Martinez. Catching practice.

So A. Traore scored in the first game of the day, and B. Traore scored in the second game of the day. Really hoping there is a C. Traore and a D. Traore to keep this pattern going in the later games...

That chance was forced by Bruno Fernandes taking a quick throw in, saying to Greenwood 'get on your bike'. They have to get some pace into this game.
Aston Villa 1-0 Man Utd
Paul Pogba doesn't clock Bertrand Traoré behind him as he gets the ball on the edge of the area and, as Pogba winds up to get a shot off he ends up taking out Traore's legs as the Villa forward comes in to pinch possession.
Aston Villa 1-0 Man Utd
Manchester United then go up the other end with Mason Greenwood picking out Luke Shaw on the left but his low ball into the box is pounced upon by Emi Martinez.
There's been one or two good moments from Manchester United, particularly when building up an attack, but its not quite come together when in the final third.
Aston Villa 1-0 Man Utd
Scott McTominay pulls down Ollie Watkins and Aston Villa have a free kick about 35 yards from goal. Ross Barkley plays it short to Anwar El Ghazi on the left, but his low ball into the box is cut out and cleared.

Man Utd need to move the ball a bit quicker. Play your football by all means, but I want to see Paul Pogba in and around the Aston Villa area doing little bits of skill to create chances.

Michael Reid: Still don't understand what Fred and McTominay offer United. Neither are good at attacking or defending. Together they barely make one good footballer.
Conrad Davies: How many more times will defensive duo of Fred and Scott cost Manchester United?
Aston Villa 1-0 Man Utd
Manchester United have not lost when going behind away from home so far this season, winning eight and drawing one of the nine times it has happened before. Long way to go in this one.

Great finish, but yet again Victor Lindelöf is far too weak in the tackle. Just not strong enough.

Marcus Rashford spots the run of Aaron Wan-Bissaka down the right and picks him out superbly but Tyrone Mings reads' Wan-Bissaka's cross well to stab behind for a corner, which is cleared.

That is an amazing finish from Traore.
I actually thought Lindelof had him as they both got their feet into a tangle. But it fell onto his left foot and put it into the top corner.
A soon as he hit it I knew it was in.
A great strike.
Bertrand Traore
Great strike!
Bertrand Traoré, with his back to goal, shrugs off Victor Lindelöf far too easily to open up a sight of goal and the Villa man takes full advantage, thumping a fierce drive into the far corner.
The hosts lead and, as things stand, Manchester City are going to win the title today.
Aston Villa 0-0 Man Utd
Oooh, an escape for Aston Villa.
Luke Shaw, a menace down the left, scampers towards the edge of the box before finding Mason Greenwood. The forward mishits his shot but it ends up being an almost perfect pass for Marcus Rashford at the back post, but it seems to catch him unawares too and he is unable to capitalise from close range.
Aston Villa 0-0 Man Utd
Manchester United bring the ball out from the back and work it down the right before a cross into the box is put too close to Emi Martinez.

United need three good signings and they can then challenge City for the title next season.
