  3. A clean sheet tonight?published at 20:11 British Summer Time 19 May 2021

West Brom v West Ham (20:15 BST)

West Ham are three points away from equalling their highest Premier League total of 62, set in 2015-16.

They have already set a club record of 17 Premier League wins in a season.

But they have had a tendancy to concede goals recently. It's nine league games without a clean sheet - something David Moyes will be keen to put right today.

    Everton 1-0 Wolves

    Wolves

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo, speaking to Sky Sports: "All the game was good but the first half was very, very good. We controlled very well and pressed very well. Good movements but we didn't put the ball in the goal.

"Good things, not so good on set pieces but this is football. I am angry as a manager when the players don't perform well and today I am not upset at all.

"I am not upset with the boys because you have to reflect on all the things and I am proud of them."

  6. 'Hammers gone off the boil'published at 20:10 British Summer Time 19 May 2021

West Brom v West Ham (20:15 BST)

    Mark Lawrenson
    BBC football expert

West Ham have run out of steam in the past few weeks, and their results have tailed off at the worst possible time for their top-four hopes.

The Hammers have gone off the boil, but they have not been playing poorly, and they have not had any breaks.

West Brom put up a heck of a fight against Liverpool on Sunday, but I'm going with West Ham to bounce back here.

    Prediction :0-2

Lawro's full predictions v Harry Potter actor and Leeds fan Matthew Lewis.

  7. 'Nothing is impossible in European hunt'published at 20:09 British Summer Time 19 May 2021

    Everton 1-0 Wolves

    Everton

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti, speaking to Sky Sports: "It was much better. Better attitude. We wanted to win. It was an open game.

"We are in the fight. Manchester City will be the most difficult game but it was important to stay there.

"The fans make a huge difference to the atmosphere and to the motivation of the players.

"I hope the new signing of the transfer market will be the supporters. It will make a huge difference for next season."

On whether they can beat City: "Nothing is impossible. They are the best team in Europe but we have to try.

"To qualify for Europe it will be a fantastic season. If we don't qualify it will be a good season."

Bob Bajwa: I need a Salah hat trick to score points for FF - then I see Burnley have Will Norris in goal... This will either be a smash and grab with Wood scoring a couple or Liverpool are sealing 4th place and Salah the Golden Boot with a massive scoreline and a hat trick!

  11. As it stands for Liverpoolpublished at 20:08 British Summer Time 19 May 2021

    Burnley v Liverpool (20:15 BST)

Liverpool want six points from their last two games to get Champions League qualification secured.

It's been a rough season since losing defenders Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip and it has left them scrapping for fourth at the end of the season.

But the Reds have picked up some form. They are unbeaten in eight league games and have won six of them.

They are currently on a season's best run of three straight wins. A win tonight would put them level on points with Leicester in fourth.

    Burnley v Liverpool (20:15 BST)

Will Norris came on as an 89th minute substitute for Wolves two years ago against Fulham in the Premier League. His only appearance so far for Burnley was against MK Dons in January. This is his league debut.

BUT can he score a header from a corner on a sunny Wednesday night at Turf Moor?

Chris Baldwin: No wonder Spurs can’t find a manager. A team that is completely done, best player wants to leave with a chairman who doesn’t want to pay wages of elite players. Selling this job is harder than selling tickets to Disneyland in the middle of the pandemic.

    Everton 1-0 Wolves

    Everton

Everton's Seamus Coleman, speaking to Sky Sports: "We can't underestimate the difference the fans made today. We have been crying out for it all season. It is no excuse for our home form but it is just so great to see fans back. It makes a difference to our performances, without a shadow of a doubt.

"We had a few chances to win the game by even more. It is frustrating our form was it was but we have another chance against Manchester City. We will give it a go."

Burnley can win both league matches in a season against Liverpool for the first time since 1929-30.

But The Clarets have lost five of their six Premier League home fixtures against Liverpool, with the exception being a 2-0 victory in August 2016.

Mohamed Salah has scored in 99 Liverpool fixtures in all competitions. The Egyptian only has one goal from six league appearances against Burnley.

Harry Kane's given everything for this club, but not finishing in the top four for Champions League - he deserves to be playing at the highest level. He scores goals year after year, and he wants that opportunity. The Spurs fans appreciate him because he has given everything he can for that club.

  20. Will Sam stay?published at 20:01 British Summer Time 19 May 2021

West Brom v West Ham (20:15 BST)

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at The Hawthorns

Sam Allardyce has said he will let everyone know whether he will remain as West Brom manager before Sunday's final game of the season at Leeds.

Allardyce could stay for another season but he has already said he doesn't want to be messing about - his words - and evidently would want funds to mount a promotion campaign.

The problem is, most of his key men, including Ainsley Maitland-Niles, are on loan and Allardyce knows none of them will return.

In addition, substantial amounts of money are due out for striker Karlan Grant, who was signed from Huddersfield by former boss Slaven Bilic and hasn't scored since his first goal for the club in October.

Add to that the likely interest in keeper Sam Johnstone and Matheus Pereira and the picture around West Brom is not entirely positive.
