Olga Sevcova looks bright for Latvia but she's got around four players on her as she tries to break.

England go down the left through Lauren Hemp seconds later and she wins another corner.

Latvia have a brief sniff of a counter-attack as England have almost the entire team in their half.

But it's shortlived as Keira Walsh gets back quickly over on the far side.

Alex Greenwood's cross then falls for Ellen White at the other end but the England striker nods it wide. What a chance!

Millie Bright is almost on the scoresheet!

Alex Greenwood's low corner finds Ella Toone in the box. Her shot is blocked, Bright keeps it alive and her effort loops up dangerously and bounces off the left post.

A nice routine.

Fran Kirby's corner comes out to Millie Bright on the edge of the box. She flicks it on to Leah Williamson and her drilled cross is deflected behind at the back post.

Ella Toone almost has her hat-trick. Bethany England keeps it alive in the area, lays it off to Fran Kirby on her right and the Chelsea forward immediately whips it in for Toone.

The Manchester United midfielder's shot is blocked from close range.

Beth Mead floats one into the box but Ellen White is beaten to it by the Latvia keeper.

White will be desperate to get a couple and close in on that record tonight!

Fran Kirby cuts inside in the box, leaving the centre-back on the floor in the process.

She finds Ella Toone, who immediately whips it over to Bethany England, but the striker skews it wide.

It did come at her fast!

It probably should be 2-0!

Lauren Hemp beats the full-back again but her cross isn't high enough for Ellen White.

It falls for Fran Kirby but she rushes the shot and it's deflected wide.

Chelsea boss Emma Hayes says it could be a "goals fest" on ITV and she's not wrong.

England are going to get a lot of chances judging by what we've seen so far.

Fran Kirby hooks it back to Lauren Hemp in the box and her first-time strike bounces off the defender.

It falls for Ella Toone but she pokes it wide.

Millie Bright sends it long for Beth Mead and a very slight touch from the full-back means it will roll out for a corner.

Fran Kirby picks out Bethany England with a low cross, before Ellen White's effort rolls just wide.

Two minutes in and England are already controlling possession just outside the Latvia box.

It's lifted over the top for Ellen White but she can't quite keep it in play on the byline.

England boss Sarina Wiegman, who praised the depth of England's squad on Saturday, said it has been "fun" to work with so much talent since taking over the role as head coach in September.

"I was expecting some things but I'm excited by the willingness and the level of the training sessions - the average level of our team is so high and that's really exciting to work with.

"I'm not surprised but it's so much fun to be around and to experience that."

Poor Lauren Hemp is squinting as the rain smacks against her face. Think she's more of a tropical weather fan.

England boss Sarina Wiegman said Beth Mead was "shining" when she scored her hat-trick at Wembley.

"She's in a very good place at the moment and it's obvious she is a good footballer. She feels really good and showed that on the pitch and does in training and with Arsenal," Wiegman added.

"I'm going to make an agreement that we do that every game - we bring on a player and they score three times! I'm just kidding, but it's really nice.

"It's what you need to get to a higher level and win matches. It doesn't matter who scores, we just need to score, so when you bring on a new player, you maybe do something different and then it's really nice that we get a result with that."

Sarina Wiegman was asked about pitch conditions in Latvia. She said she had watched the Netherlands' men's match a few weeks ago and England are aware it might not be the same standard as it was at Wembley.

She hoped the players would get a feel for it in the warm-up. They have just wrapped up now so let's hope they're feeling sharp!
