We've been watching Bethany England and Millie Bright warming up, Katie Zelem as well actually. They've taken their bibs off and will be coming on.

Earlier in England's group, Latvia scored three own goals as Northern Ireland beat the minnows 3-1 in their low-key final World Cup qualifier.

Northern Ireland could not progress to the World Cup finals and were locked into a third place finish behind Euro 2022 winners England and Austria, however the win secured a record points tally of 19 in World Cup qualifying.

The match was Northern Ireland's final competitive outing for 12 months until the start of Euro 2025 qualifying.

They will have to count on friendlies to keep momentum up from a maiden appearance at a major tournament at Euro 2022 this summer.

  7. 'Russo could have had five'published at 20:24 British Summer Time 6 September 2022

    HT: England 5-0 Luxembourg

Alessia Russo could have had five in that first half. I think she will be a little frustrated. She's been in all the right positions but the keeper has played well and Russo hasn't been as ruthless as usual.

She's got one goal but you would expect her to come out with a bit of fire in her belly for the second half. There is more expectation on her following Ellen White's retirement so this is a good opportunity to build on her goal tally.

  8. 'I expect more of the same'published at 20:22 British Summer Time 6 September 2022

That has been some high-level skill on show. I've really liked how quickly England have won the ball back. I expect more of the same in the second half.

Sarina Wiegman will want her players to make better decisions on the ball, when to play to feet, when to play into space. There are some tweaks but she'll certainly be driving standards.

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:20 British Summer Time 6 September 2022

    England 5-0 Luxembourg

This is as dominant as the scoreline suggests. Standby for more goals from the Lionesses in the second half.

  10. Postpublished at 45 mins

    England 5-0 Luxembourg

England are ending the half strongly.

Alessia Russo forces another save with a header. She could have had a first half hat-trick.

Luxembourg's defending is all over the place.

    England 5-0 Luxembourg

England's next game is against the United States at Wembley. I might be wrong but I don't think they will be 5-0 up at half-time against the world champions.

England are in their flow now. It's good combination play, I thought Rachel Daly was going to get into onto her right foot but she pulls it back to Beth Mead, who just dances through the defenders.

The goalkeeper tries to make a save with her foot but it hits it and goes in.

Literally a minute after Rachel Daly made it 4-0, Beth Mead makes it five. England fully in control.

  15. 'Lovely goal'published at 20:13 British Summer Time 6 September 2022

    England 5-0 Luxembourg

    Emma Sanders
    BBC Sport at Bet365 Stadium

The goals are coming quickly now... Beth Mead has put some good crosses in already tonight and that was a lovely goal to top off a decent first half individually. The Euro 2022 Golden Boot winner is carrying on where she left off for England on home soil.

A nicely worked corner and then it is that deep cross. The Luxembourg defenders come out and it is those late blindside runs. I think Rachel Daly called for Alessia Russo to leave it and she just nods it in at the back post.

  17. goal

GOAL - England 5-0 Luxembourgpublished at 39 mins

    Beth Mead

Unlucky 13? Not for Beth Mead who bags her 13th goal of this World Cup qualifying campaign.

Luxembourg hardly have time to recover from conceding a fourth when they are torn apart at the back and Mead slots home.

We're half way to another double figures win for the Lionesses.

  18. goal

GOAL - England 4-0 Luxembourgpublished at 37 mins

    Rachel Daly

Appalling defending by Luxembourg but the home fans don't care.

They're celebrating a fourth goal as Rachel Daly heads downwards past the keeper while totally unmarked.

    England 3-0 Luxembourg

    Laura Bassett

These Luxembourg defenders are concentrating so much on getting the first contact, making sure the ball doesn't find an England head. But that one came off Miller and nearly went into her own net.

  20. Postpublished at 33 mins

    England 3-0 Luxembourg

Almost 4-0. Three of England's 73 goals in qualifying have come from own goals and there's very nearly another as a Luxembourg player goes close to heading past her keeper.
