What a night, eh? Hamilton Accies are all but relegated following a narrow defeat in Dingwall.

Brian Rice's side will need a nine-goal victory against Kilmarnock on Sunday to pull off the unthinkable.

For Killie, they will hope that Ross County lose to Motherwell and they do the business against Accies to be spared the nerve-shredding relegation play-offs.

County need a point to avoid the play-off and retain their top flight status.

Rangers are one game away from an unbeaten league season, while Hibernian secured third place with victory at Pittodrie.

And Scott Brown's last game at Celtic Park as Celtic skipper was a winning one - as Celtic coasted to a 4-0 win against St Johnstone.

Thanks for your company, remember to watch Sportscene on BBC One Scotland at 22:45. We'll be back for the final round of Premiership games at the weekend. Cheers.

  2. Glass aims to strengthen Donspublished at 22:25

    FT: Aberdeen 0-1 Hibernian

Aberdeen manager Stephen Glass tells BBC Scotland: "I am a little bit frustrated. The performance was right up there. I think the threat they carried looked like a team that were doing what we asked them to do.

"We are going to try to do our business next season to get to where we want to be. The reason for me arriving in April was to evaluate.

"A lot of decisions have to be made on players. We will certainly add quality and the future looks bright."

  4. 'We need to embrace the Championship'published at 22:18

FT: Ross County 2-1 Hamilton Accies

Hamilton Accies boss Brian Rice adds: "I told them to be brave and they were brave. Everyone in that dressing room is on their knees because they know what they put into the game. To not even draw the game is disappointing but to lose it, that's just football.

"We had the best player by a hundred miles in Jamie Hamilton tonight. Fantastic talent, absolutely sensational he was tonight. If we can keep a hold of them [young players] we can improve, but we just need to go and embrace the Championship."

  5. 'We just couldn't get over the line'published at 22:15

FT: Ross County 2-1 Hamilton Academical

Hamilton Academical manager Brian Rice tells BBC Scotland: "I thought we played very, very well. We just couldn't get over the line. We're so disappointed. Disappointed is an understatement, we're absolutely devastated. But the players gave it everything they had and you saw a team playing exceptionally well but it just wasn't enough."

  6. Ross hails Hibs achievementpublished at 22:14

    FT: Aberdeen 0-1 Hibernian

Hibernian head coach Jack Ross tells BBC Scotland: “This achievement [finishing third] should not be downplayed. It’s the first time since 2005 we have finished in that position. It’s only the fifth time in my lifetime.

“We should be aiming to finish in that position year-on-year but the group should take pride in what they have achieved.

“We need to be a club that comes to venues like this and wins. That’s what I want to do with Hibs. Coming here and winning to finish third feels fitting."

"Hamilton have been different class in the Premiership for a number of years, they've got something about them and if I could get that spirit and never-say-die attitude here on a more regular basis I would take that."

  11. Brown will be 'sorely missed' - Kennedypublished at 21:42

    FT: Celtic 4-0 St Johnstone

Speaking to BBC Sportsound, interim Celtic manager John Kennedy paid tribute to outgoing captain Scott Brown: "It was a very good, high level performance from us. Got good goals and it could have been more. Once we got by our slow start I thought we were really good and it was a great send off for Scott.

"He's not the emotional type but inside I think he's probably feeling it. He's stepping away from what's been a huge part of his life but we send him on with our best regards because he's been nothing but magnificent for this club. He's been a breath of fresh air ever since he came and has grown in stature as a player and taken on the captaincy to a new level. He'll be sorely missed."

Asked whether he expects an imminent managerial appointment, Kennedy replied: "It's got to the stage now where it's been so long now that we're probably expecting something beyond the last game of the season.

"There's been an element of frustration from the supporters but it's not being done out of any bad faith it's because we're going through the process properly and making sure they do the right thing at the right time."

    This is utterly incredible.

Colin Quaner taps home from a yard out to haul St Mirren level again.

Given the result in Dingwall, Kilmarnock are still pretty much safe from automatic relegation given their massive goal difference advantage over Hamilton.
