So St Johnstone collect the Scottish Cup and League Cup in the most strange of seasons. What a story.

Rangers are the league champions, with only one thing left to be decided. Monday's relegation play-off second leg between Kilmarnock and Dundee is the final club game of the season.

Then it's time for the Euros. For now, it's St Johnstone's day.

A reminder that St Johnstone go straight into the Europa League third qualifying round now, and potentially the play-off if Chelsea and/or Villareal win the Champions League and Europa League.

Plenty will be backing Rangers boss Steven Gerrard for manager of the season after his record-breaking league campaign.

But surely Callum Davidson's achievement is, pound for pound, better?

"Fair play to the manager, he stuck with what he believed in. Fifth place in the league and cup double. We'll savour this."

In no way does this take away from - in fact it probably bolsters - St Johnstone's achievement, but Hibernian just didn't turn up today.

They've struggled to beat Saints all season, and didn't seem to try anything different today. Huge what if about this season, given they didn't have to play either Rangers or Celtic in both cups.

A hugely disappointing day for Hibernian.

Head coach Jack Ross has been speaking on BBC One Scotland.

"We probably didn't do enough to win the game but I can't be critical of the effort and commitment.

"Fine margins. In the first half, we probably have the clearest opportunity and don't take it. It just didn't quite come off for us today.

"I think the final third aspect where we're normally quite creative didn't quite come off today."

Your reminder that St Johnstone were bottom of the Scottish Premiership in October.

The mother of all turnarounds.

They didn't even look in any danger this afternoon. A comprehensive 1-0 win.

Up goes that famous trophy. What a moment for St Johnstone. Scottish Cup winners for the second time in seven years.

A golden (silver?) period in the club's long history.

David Wotherspoon has just given an absolutely superb interview on the pitch at full-time. In tears he tells BBC Scotland: "I can't speak. My legs were gone, but the boys just defended for their lives at the end there.

"To be where we were at the start of the season to a cup double, it's incredible.

"[Shaun Rooney] He pops up at the right time. I just looked up and saw him and the back post and I knew if I put it up there he would get on the end of it.

"We made it hard for ourselves but we got there in the end."

He finishes with a lovely message for his family, and even managed a cheeky swear word in there. Think we'll forgive him. What a hero.

Find me a better achievement in European football this season than St Johnstone winning a cup double.

On one of the smallest budgets in the Scottish top flight, they have won more trophies than the Old Firm, and finished fifth in the league.
