19:21 BST 4 June 2021Cristiano Ronaldo and Michel Platini are the joint top scorers in European Championship history.
Ronaldo's nine goals have come in 21 games across four tournaments.
Platini scored his nine in five games at Euro 1984. He never played at another European Championship.

19:18 BST 4 June 2021Because there's not much to discuss from that half, here's some graphics about Cristiano Ronaldo's European Championship legacy that I made for this feature.

He didn't miss anything because the half-time whistle does now go.

I'm not sure what happened there as Cristiano Ronaldo runs down the tunnel just before the clock hits 45. He runs back out seconds later. He must have thought the half-time whistle had gone.

Another corner to Spain. Fabian Ruiz, with his James Maddison hairstyle, cuts in and has a shot from 20 yards which is deflected wide.
The corner is cleared.

Nelson Semedo is getting involved more now, he makes another run - this time into the box - but he's tackled.

Portugal's first actual shot of the game. It's a surging run by Renato Sanches and he picks out Cristiano Ronaldo on the right.
Ronaldo lays it off to Nelson Semedo but the Wolves right-back hammers a shot well over the bar from 20 yards.

Corner to Spain as Sergio Oliveira puts the ball behind under pressure from Fabian Ruiz.
The corner comes to nothing.

EJG: just having a little watch of the Spain Portugal game and cannot believe Pawson is refereeing? How is this guy in charge of an international friendly. Awful tackles and no card shown.

Cristiano Ronaldo almost scores a comedy goal.
He plays the ball to Renato Sanches, who tries to find him again with a crossfield ball into the box.
It's cut out by a defender and runs back to Spain keeper Unai Simon. His clearance is straight at Ronaldo but luckily for him the Portugal legend can't control and it runs back to Simon again.

Another Renato Sanches foul although this time it was a bit unlucky as he slipped into Pablo Sarabia.

Not sure what Renato Sanches is playing at here. Seconds later he puts in an even worse challenge on Jose Gaya, a bit dangerous really. If this was a competitive game he'd have been booked for that.

Not the time to get injured tbh. Renato Sanches fouls Jose Gaya and they both go down in a heap. They're fine though without the need for physios.

Spain defender Aymeric Laporte hasn't been tested too much so far on his international debut.

That chance came from Portugal trying to play it out from the back. And Spain get the ball again in a similar circumstance but this time can't take advantage.

Best chance of the game. Only chance of the game really.
It's a nice move from Spain as Alvaro Morata plays a beautiful outside-of-the-boot cross into Ferran Torres at the back post but he heads into the side-netting.

Cristiano Ronaldo resists the urge to shoot from 40 yards after a free-kick is rolled to him. Portugal can't do anything with the ball though and end up back in their own half.
