Both of Arsenal’s Premier League games with Aaron Ramsdale in goal this season have finished 1-0. The only keepers to record a clean sheet in each of their first three Premier League starts for the Gunners are Alex Manninger and David Ospina.

Just one of the last 10 Tottenham managers to take charge in a north London derby has won their first top-flight meeting against Arsenal - Jose Mourinho in July 2020.

Nuno Espírito Santo will be the 10th different individual Spurs boss whose first north London derby is away from home, with just one of the previous nine emerging victorious - Peter Shreeve in 1985.

When you lose your top striker it shows and it did today.

There was a loss of ideas in the final third.

Southampton played some good football up until that point but today that finish wasn't up to Premier League standard.

They worked hard and they gave their manager everything they got so I hope they stick with him.

When you sell your best centre-half and centre-forward it is difficult.

  4. 'Everyone wants more from Kane'published at 16:07 British Summer Time 26 September 2021

    Arsenal v Tottenham (16:30 BST)

    Stephen Kelly
Former Tottenham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

There's so many people talking about Harry Kane's body language and how he's moving. He's dropping so deep and that worked really well for him last season.

I think what happened this summer with him wanting to leave, it's got to be playing on his mind at some point, especially with Tottenham not playing as well.

If there's ever a game where he can come back into the team and get a goal and get himself back on track then it's this game. That will get the fans back on side too.

Everyone wants more from him, they want the energetic Kane that has an outstanding goal and assist record. At the moment he looks lethargic and off the pace slightly.

They miss him and they miss him as a player because although he's not that vocal on the pitch, he leads by example and is a role model to those younger players.

If Nuno can't find a way to get him involved then it's make or break for Nuno.

Andy: Xhaka is back in the first team!!!! Large intake of breath. Sigh. One of life's mysteries is this guy not being sold by Arsenal. He hasn't got the right temperament. When the going gets tough, Xhaka gets sent off.

Luke: Wow, I know Emerson looks to have been a shocking signing, but to drop him so early in his Spurs career is bold.

    FT: Southampton 0-1 Wolves

    Tony Pulis
Former Stoke manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

The whole game today, from the first half to the last few minutes, there was a lack of quality.

There was only one glimmer of it and that was when Jimenez found the back of the net.

From then on he started to show signs of him being back to his pre-injury self.

Wolves will be over the moon because they've got their main man back now firing.

Lovely scenes in the away end. Raul Jimenez is being mobbed by Wolves' travelling support. Everyone wants a selfie with the goal hero.

It's great to see him beaming again. This has been a very good day for Wolves.

Laurie: Southampton's problem is a team problem. Danny Ings was good but you can't base a club around one player. Man City draw a distant memory and I feel it's time to try something different. So predictable.
