Jonny Evans plays a really good ball from inside the Leicester half to Ricardo Pereira on the edge of the Spartak box. Pereira plays it back to Youri Tielemans, whose shot is off target.

And now Youri Tielemans gives away a free kick some 30 yards from the Leicester goal after a good break into space by Spartak. It looks like Tielemans got the ball first but he was right in front of the referee, the free kick comes to nothing anyway as Georgiy Dzhikiya's low drive is straight at Kasper Schmeichel.

Youri Tielemans is shoved over 35 yards from goal and Leicester have a free kick. James Maddison tries to catch out the Spartak defence with a quick low ball into the box but it is also too quick for Kelechi Iheanacho and it rolls through to Aleksandar Maksimenko.

Luke Thomas has another go from distance but his shot is well over.

Good defending from the hosts as Kelechi Iheanacho is quickly closed down as he receives the ball on the edge of the area. Frustrating times for Leicester at the moment.

Youri Tielemans chips the ball forward for Patson Daka to run onto. He initially has the beating of the three centre backs but his first touch gives time for the Spartak players to get in and tackle before Daka shoots. The Leicester man thinks he has been fouled but nothing is given after a VAR check for a penalty.

Ricardo Pereira versus Ayrton Lucas has been a real tussle and I'd say Lucas is winning it so far as Periera is booked for pulling back the Spartak forward as he looks to drive forward.

James Maddison, who has been involved in pretty much every Leicester attack so far, passes to Luke Thomas on the edge of the area but he drags his shot wide of the upright.

Kelechi Iheanacho's shot on the turn is blocked as Leicester come forward. Ricardo Pereira then tries to run into space down the right flank but loses out in the battle with Ayrton Lucas.

Zelimkhan Bakaev tries pick out fellow forward Jordan Larsson but Luke Thomas is alert and cuts out the pass.

Spartak Moscow do pass the ball quickly and accurately when they get forward and are finding gaps in the high-pressing Leicester defence. A second goal would be a real blow for the Foxes so they need to be wary.

It has been pretty much all Leicester since the opener as Caglar Soyuncu charges down the left flank before winning another corner for Leicester. James Maddison's delivery is deep and in the end the whistle goes for a Spartak free kick.

Almost an immediate response by Leicester as James Maddison forces a good save out of Aleksandar Maksimenko.

Ten minutes in and no shots on target yet for either side but you feel Leicester are getting closer as the lively Patson Daka pulls away from the defence to chase a decent ball over the top but he flashes his shot over.

Patson Daka plays a great ball in from the right looking for Kelechi Iheanacho but Nikolay Rasskazov is there to deal with the danger.

Decent moment for the hosts as the ball is worked from right to left to Ayrton Lucas. He cuts inside and fancies his chances from distance but shoots wide.

Crikey, there's snow coming down on the pitch to highlight just how could things are in Moscow today. The crowd is vocal but a little sparse.

Leicester are straight on the attack as Patson Daka wins a corner in the first few seconds. James Maddison sends a great ball in and it lands at the feet of a Leicester player but the whistle goes for a foul.
