    Breakthrough!

City's second string fall behind courtesy of Hungary international Dominik Szoboszlai timing his run perfectly.

He is put in by Konrad Laimer's delightful outside-of-the-foot pass, he bears down on goal before going round Zack Steffen and coolly popping the ball into an open net.

City boss Pep Guardiola is not happy, in furious conversation with his assistant after conceding.

Feels weird again without having a crowd in.

RB Leipzig v Man City (17:45 GMT)

    Manchester City

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola tells BT Sport: "We have a really good team, everyone can play, deserves to play and the ones to stay in Manchester played a lot of minutes recently. Good enough to try and compete with Leipzig.

"It is about how you are going to feel, Kevin de Bruyne can play 40, 50 or 60 minutes and I don't know the consequences of his Covid.

"We are comfortable playing this way. What you change is the quality of the players. The idea is that we have success, we believe in it 100%.

"It is difficult, a new manager we don't know exactly what he will do. Leipzig have their own philosophy, it is not going to change. The board don't accept playing another way. There will be gegenpressen and we are going to try and play in our rhythm."

  19. 'In the air - a monster'published at 17:36 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2021

AC Milan v Liverpool (20:00 GMT)

    Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp was full of praise for Divock Origi after his goal gave Liverpool a late victory at Wolves on Saturday.

"Div played behind Mo [Salah], Bobby [Firmino] and Sadio [Mane]. It doesn't mean you're not world class if you don't start for us. It's a nice story, let's carry on from here.

"He's a positive person. Talented, shoots left and right, really quick, in the air - a monster. An interesting package.

"But that doesn't mean you are a constant starter for Liverpool, that is how it is. There are worse things in life than not being a regular starter here."

  20. 'Medical staff would smash me'published at 17:32 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2021

AC Milan v Liverpool (20:00 GMT)

    Liverpool

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said he would rotate his side for their game at AC Milan later, in fear of retribution from his medical team if he doesn't.

It is the third of nine games that the Reds play in December.

Klopp's side have already sealed top spot in Group B having claimed an impressive five wins from five so far.

"We have to rotate, we will rotate," said Klopp.

"The medical department would smash me if I played the same side again, so I will make changes."
