Atletico have gone into a nice rigid five in a very straight line. There is a lot of respect out there.

There's a roar from the home fans as Rafa Silva surges forward. He tries to muscle his way past Ibrahima Konate which would put him clear on goal but Konate wins that battle.

Naby Keita then sends a looping header over the bar from a decent Andy Robertson cross.

I really don't believe that any of the managers are thinking we'll rest people. They need to win. It becomes a habit. It just breeds confidence it is muscles memory. I don't believe it is time to rest anyone.

It is a difficult one but the draw could have been worse. All the talk has been about the gamesmanship and how the teams will line up.

I think teams have had more joy against Manchester City when they have put a back three in because the space is not there for City especially if they play a little bit slower.

Benfica knocked Liverpool out of the Champions League in 2006

While struggling for most of the domestic season, Benfica's best moments have come in the Champions League: beating PSV Eindhoven in the play-offs, Barcelona in the group stage and Ajax in the last 16.

It's much more than they could have hoped for, but they want to keep their European adventure going.

If they do so, they will have emulated side that caused a major upset by knocking Liverpool out of the Champions League last 16 in 2006.

"I'd say Liverpool are even stronger now, but back then they were the title holders and also a very difficult side to play against," former Benfica centre-back Ricardo Rocha, who played for that 2006 team, told BBC Sport.

"It didn't stop us from believing we could still go ahead and so we went on to beat them in both matches. This is the mentality for games like these."

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, speaking to BT Sport about his team selection: "It is quarter final of the Champions League and we have to prepare for it with all we have.

"This is a big chance for Benfica as well, a big challenge yes but a big chance as well so I am not surprised they will give it a proper try.

"We have not thought for one second what result I want tonight. We just focus on the game, we respect them a lot."
