Kelechi Iheanacho's brilliant pass cuts PSV apart and sends Harvey Barnes charging in on goal. The City winger gets into the box but can't find a telling finish, instead side footing past the far post.

What a player Schmeichel has been for Leicester. He's not showing any sign of dipping in his performance levels either.

Kasper Schmeichel drawn into action for the first time, and it is a brilliant stop he produces. Philipp Max's cross falls to Mario Gotze. who volleys on target and would score but for Schmeichel's hand. Superb.

Great effort from James Maddison!

He weaves through a number of tackles on his way into the box. He is slightly off balance as he looks to shoot and so can't get the power or direction on it. PSV block and clear.

Maddison wants a penalty for a pull on his shirt but he won't get it.

City will be happy with this start.

Not the best defending, but it works!

A sliced clearance from a PSV defender sends the ball spinning away to the right from the corner, but Youri Tielemans can't get the ball back in after gathering.

Jonny Evans cranes his neck to get his head on James Maddison's whipped free-kick. Her steers the ball towards goal but he deflects off target by his centre-back partner Wesley Fofana.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall wins a free-kick wide on the left but high in the PSV half. Chance to deliver something meaningful...

Almost.

PSV sweep forward effectively, but the cross into the middle is just a bit too high for Eran Zahavi, who sticks out a boot but fails to make contact.

Bit of a let off that for Leicester.

Kelechi Iheanacho has no chance of keeping Youri Tielemans' pass in the field of play. Shame that. It was a chance to try and get in down the left.

To be fair, they've not missed much yet.

Still a few empty seats in this stadium. Apparently they are going to fill up. The home fans being very casual with their timing.

Leicester's first little dabble going forward ends as James Maddison's pass to Kelechi Iheanacho is poorly controlled. The home side clear.

Oof. Welcome to the Netherlands, Jonny Evans. He clears a ball and gets clattered by Mauro Junior, leaving a boot in late.

The City defender is made of tough stuff, though. He'll be OK.

A big night for both these sides. PSV are in the running for a few trophies this season. For Leicester, this is it.

I remember going to watch Leeds play PSV in a Uefa Cup tie in 1995. The Dutch team absolutely blew Leeds away, winning 5-3 at Elland Road in the first leg and then 3-0 in the second.

A young Brazilian lad called Ronaldo played in the second game. Luc Nilis scored twice in the first. Bit too much for John Pemberton and Carlton Palmer to deal with.

They had a great side back then. Barcelona beat them in the quarter-finals.

PSV are enjoying a fine domestic season, having reached the final of the Dutch Cup (which takes place on Sunday) and sitting second in the Eredivisie, four points behind leaders Ajax.

They come into Thursday's tie on a 15-match unbeaten run, which includes five clean sheets in their past six games, one of them coming at the King Power Stadium in the first leg.

Roger Schmidt will be replaced as boss by former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy next season, but before then is hoping to lead PSV to their first European trophy since 1988.

Schmidt rested a number of players for Sunday's 2-0 win over RKC Waalwijk and has Erick Gutierrez available after the after the Mexican midfielder served a one-match ban in the first leg.
