A lot of people are keen to see how Kyogo Furuhashi goes tonight on his first start. Still very early days for the Japanese forward, but he looks to have all the tools to be a success at Celtic.

It'll be interesting to see if he's playing through the middle or not this evening.

Joe Hart is the type of personality Celtic have been lacking. He won't accept sloppy defending from set plays.

  7. Full houses to returnpublished at 16:25 British Summer Time 5 August 2021

Only Hibs are at home of the five Scottish sides playing in Europe this week.

Which means Celtic, Rangers, St Johnstone, and Aberdeen are likely to have a full complement of fans back for their return legs at home next week. Could be an emotional one.

Local councils decide, of course. But the direction of travel is heading one way.

  8. Celtic pushing for more signingspublished at 16:21 British Summer Time 5 August 2021

    Jablonec v Celtic (16:45)

It was probably music to the ears of Celtic fans yesterday when Ange Postecoglou said they are "pushing hard" to get a few more bodies in the door this month.

Joe Hart and James McCarthy are the latest to arrive, with the former starting tonight.

The Celtic boss said the priority at the moment is getting more players in, with a restructure of the football department to follow once the madness of the transfer window ends.

  9. Who are Jablonec?published at 16:17 British Summer Time 5 August 2021

    Jablonec v Celtic (16:45)

Celtic's opponents tonight are to be respected, but not feared.

They finished third in the Czech top flight last season, but have since lost top scorer Ivan Schranz to Slavia Prague.

On paper, it's a step down from Midtjylland. And given Celtic probably should have won that tie, they should feel confident tonight.

However, games are not won on paper etc etc. Jablonec had a good home record last season, so we'll see what they bring to the party tonight.

  10. Postecoglou searching for first winpublished at 16:12 British Summer Time 5 August 2021

    Jablonec v Celtic (16:45)

It's early days, but Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou could do with a win here after failing to pick up one in his three competitive games so far.

An opening league defeat by Hearts followed a crushing Champions League exit at the hands of Midtjylland.

The Australian said on Wednesday their performances have been ok, but not brilliant. He could do with a good'un tonight.

    Jablonec v Celtic (16:45)

Joe Hart makes his Celtic debut tonight. He's not played much football in the last few seasons, but there's no doubting his pedigree.

Can he bring some much needed stability to the Celtic backline?

    Breaking

    Jablonec v Celtic (16:45)

Ange Postecoglou has wasted no time by sticking new signing Joe Hart straight in between the sticks. Scott Bain drops to the bench.

Odsonne Edouard hasn't been himself for a while now, and pays the price.

Kyogo Furuhashi makes his first start.

    Happy, Celtic fans?
