That was agonising. Caoimhin Kelleher was moving the wrong way and stuck his leg out but couldn't reach it. The shot hit the inside of the post and rolled the wrong side of the line.

Mason Mount misses another unbelievable chance!

Christian Pulisic clips a ball over the defence and Mount ghosts in. He has all the time and space in the world and takes a couple of touches to set himself before shooting off the base of the post from 14 yards out.

Ooooh. Kai Havertz is picked out by Christian Pulisic and plays a lovely ball acoss the six-yard box. Nobody is there. If only Chelsea had a striker - maybe a £97.5m one - tp tap in.

Chelsea are straight on the attack but Cesar Azpilicueta's cross is headed away by Joel Matip.

Both goalkeepers have made crucial saves at important moments in the game. Kelleher with the first one, then Mendy with an outrageous double-save. [Tuchel and Klopp] will probably be congratulating each other on how good the game has been. It has been the way football should be played; with intensity, people wanting to get on the ball and run in behind. Both teams have been outstanding.

Two shots on target each in that half.

Edouard Mendy made a great double save to deny Naby Keita and especially Sadio Mane.

And Caoimhin Kelleher made a good stop to deny Christian Pulisic, who shouldn't have given him a chance really.

The half-time whistle goes. Both sides have had big chances to score but it's goalless.

Mason Mount misses a sitter! A sitter!

Christian Pulisic runs forward and finds Kai Havertz on the right. He clips a ball into the box and there is Mount unmarked, about 10 yards out. Somehow he doesn't even hit the target.

He looks across desperate to see an offside flag but nope that would have counted.

Marcos Alonso crosses and Liverpol can't clear with Kai Havertz laying it off for Cesar Azpilicueta who hammers a rising shot over from 20 yards.

Liverpool think Cesar Azpilicueta should have been booked for fouling Luis Diaz.

First non-offside Chelsea chance in ages. Kai Havertz plays in Christian Pulisic dwn the right and his shot from a bit of an ambitious angle is clawed away by Caoimhin Kelleher.

Ooooh. Andy Robertson whips in a cross to the back post and it looks like Marcos Alonso will deal with it but Mohamed Salah creeps in behind him and heads wide.

Kai Havertz runs onto a through ball, gets into the box and has a shot saved by the fingertips of Caoimhin Kelleher. But then the flag goes up - it wouldn't have counted.
