    Liverpool

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah, speaking to BT Sport: "I think we didn't want to start like the City game so we talked in dressing room about starting the game well and that's what we did.

"All the goals were very important but Bobby (Firmino) did a great job scoring a hat-trick so congratulations to him and Sadio (Mane) also scored a nice goal."

On his goal and where it ranks among his greatest strikes:"I didn't watch back it yet. Last game (against Man City) maybe (was better). I don't know which one was better.

"I was in the box trying to find someone or score myself. It is all about the team. that is the most important thing."

On whether he is in the best form of his career:"I don't know. Sometimes I don't have the luck to score goals but I am always trying 100% to help the team. I am confident at the moment, helping the team win points which is the most important thing."

  5. 'Results not always there but performances are'published at 14:30 British Summer Time 16 October 2021

Man City v Burnley (15:00 BST)

    Nedum Onuoha
Former Manchester City defender on BBC One

In some ways the season so far for Manchester City has been indifferent - purely based on previous standards. Listening to Pep Guardiola at the start of the season he said they wouldn't hit their best for a while due to a short pre-season and the Euros and we've seen that.

In terms of recent performances, the results may not have always been there but the performances have made me think yes, this is the City I'm familiar with.

    Etihad Stadium

The sight of Etihad Stadium looming on the horizon is unlikely to bring too much joy to the heart of Burnley boss Sean Dyche.

He got a point here on each of his first two visits with the Clarets but since then he has lost seven out of seven in the Premier League and FA Cup, with his side scoring two goals and shipping 29 - that's an average of more than four a game.

Room for improvement from the Clarets today then...

That was good, wasn't it? Liverpool are bang in form and displayed their title credentials in devastating fashion.

Shamoon Hafez and Jonathan Jurejko joining Emma for the 15:00 BST games, and we've got FIVE on the cards.

    What a treat.

Another chance for Watford but again Virgil van Dijk makes a crucial block.

Jeremy Ngakia's cross is headed on by Ismaila Sarr. It's kept in by Joao Pedro and Sarr's attempted overhead kick is blocked by the Liverpool centre-back.

    Watford 0-4 Liverpool

Watford are definitely getting a few chances now, understandably, as Liverpool have taken their foot off the gas.

Virgil van Dijk and Naby Keita both get blocks in as Juan Hernandez and Jeremy Ngakia put in crosses.

It's offside but it's the loudest cheer at Vicarage Road for a long time!

Joao Pedro cuts it back to Ismaila Sarr. He absolutely smashes one towards the left post.

It might have taken a touch by the keeper before hit the woodwork but when it bounces back out, Pedro is offside.

    Southampton v Leeds (15:00 BST)

    Chris Wise
BBC Radio 5 Live at St Mary's

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s programme notes make an interesting read. He says he wants his Southampton team to be ‘nasty’ at St Mary’s ahead of facing Leeds United.

They definitely need to be ruthless. The only home goal Saints have scored this season wasn’t even via one of their own - it was an own goal from Manchester United’s Fred.
