  1. Can Celtic carry on high-scoring form?published at 19:44 British Summer Time 12 August 2021

    Celtic v Jablonec (4-2, 19:45)

Celtic got their first win under manager Ange Postecoglou in the Czech Republic last week, knocking in four good goals and conceding two sloppy ones.

They built on that with the 6-0 demolition of Dundee on Sunday, so fans at a packed Celtic Park will be expecting another high score this evening.

  2. Ramirez leads the way for Aberdeenpublished at 19:43 British Summer Time 12 August 2021

    Aberdeen v Breidablik (3-2, 19:45)

The Dons opened up a 2-0 lead in Iceland last week before being pegged back, but Christian Ramirez got his second of the night to earn victory for Stephen Glass' side.

The manager is not interested in sitting on that lead and is urging his players to put on a show for the 15,000 or so at Pittodrie as crowd restrictions are lifted up and down the country.

St Johnstone, we spoke about them not losing their heads, not chasing the game. The build up to getting that corner was brilliant, and they're right back in the game.

  5. goal

GOAL Rijeka 1-0 Hibernian (2-1)published at 19:36 British Summer Time 12 August 2021

    Domagoj Pavičić

It's been coming for Rijeka and they eventually have a goal after relentless pressure.

The hosts break down the right - where they have been playing through all night - to find Domagoj Pavičić in the box. He makes no mistake with a simple finish.

Plenty of work to do for Hibs.

    Chris Kane

St Johnstone captain Jason Kerr scored in Istanbul and now he sets the equaliser as he rises to nod a corner back into the mixer. Chris Kane stands his ground in front of the keeper and is able to nod it in from inside the six yard box.

Or did the keeper scoop the ball into this own net?

Either way, it's a level game in Perth.

  7. 'Pace and composure from Diagne'published at 19:36 British Summer Time 12 August 2021

    St Johnstone 0-1 Galatasaray (1-2)

    James McFadden
Former Scotland forward on BBC Scotland

    Quote Message

When Diagne gets into the position, he's got so much pace and then composure to slot it past Zander Clark. It's the first time St Johnstone have been forced to run back towards their own goal.

  8. CLOSE!published at 19:33 British Summer Time 12 August 2021

    Rijeka 0-0 Hibernian (1-1)

Martin Boyle is in a rich vein of form at the minute and he's very unlucky not to open the scoring.

His mazy run past several Rijeka defenders was eye-catching but his curling shot is saved by goalkeeper Andrej Prskalo.

    Mbaye Diagne

Kerem Akturkoglu splits the home defence with a simple pass and Mbaye Diagne is too quick to catch as he races into the penalty area and slips a shot through the legs of goalkeeper Zander Clark.

    St Johnstone 0-0 Galatasaray (1-1)

    James McFadden
    Former Scotland forward on Sportscene

    Quote Message

St Johnstone do keep a good shape but Galatasaray are brave going forward. They're happy to get the full-backs forward and leaving themselves 2v2 at the back against Kane and O'Halloran.

  12. Postpublished at 19:24 British Summer Time 12 August 2021

    St Johnston 0-0 Galatasaray (1-1)

Chris Kane does well to intercept a slack pass at the halfway line and he's off and running, with Ali McCann bursting a gut to offer him an option.

The striker tries to slide in his mate but the pass isn't quite on the money, allowing the sole defender in the vicinity to get a crucial touch.

  13. YELLOW CARDSpublished at 19:22 British Summer Time 12 August 2021

    Rijeka 0-0 Hibernian (1-1)

Darren McGregor and then Joe Newell are booked for Hibs as Rijeka cause plenty of problems going forward.

Jack Ross' side need to stem the tide before the hosts fully test goalkeeper Matt Macey.

  14. 'Brown to the rescue for Saints'published at 19:21 British Summer Time 12 August 2021

It's great play from Galatasaray but I'm going to praise James Brown. He follows the run and blocks the shot really well. That's what he was brought into the team for.

    St Johnstone 0-0 Galatasaray (1-1)

A slick passing move down the right opens up the St Johnstone defence but the final shot from Arda Turan has the pace taken out of it by a James Brown interception and the ball rolls straight to Zander Clark.

And another Liam Craig free kick. This time it's nodded away without any fuss.

St Johnstone have been nice and calm so far but the visitors are slowly starting to find their rhythm.

  17. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 19:15 British Summer Time 12 August 2021

    Rijeka 0-0 Hibernian (1-1)

Rijeka are claiming for a penalty.

Issah Abass made inroads into the box and tumbled to the ground with Paul McGinn closing him down.

The referee says no to the hosts' animated suggestions that the stand-in Hibs captain had caused his fall.

A beautiful night at Pittodrie, the estimated 16,000 crowd are starting to file in. There is a real crackle in the air and a sense of anticipation. Dare I say it, it all feels quite normal, thank goodness.
