  1. YELLOW CARDpublished at 64 mins

    Peterborough 0-0 West Brom

Sam Johnstone goes into the book for time wasting after he takes a bit of a walk into the crowd!

He raced off his line to head the ball out then realised how far he was out of his goal and thought he better claim the ball before anyone else could.

Unfortunately he went a bit too far with how long he decided to take a walk with it before play could restart.

  2. Postpublished at 63 mins

    Peterborough 0-0 West Brom

Corner routine from Peterborough back to Joe Ward to send the ball across from a different angle nearly finds Frankie Kent unmarked at the back post.

But the Posh centre-back can't quite head it back towards goal in time.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 60 mins

    Peterborough 0-0 West Brom

    Change up front for Peterborough.

Siriki Dembele replaces Jack Marriott. Can he make a big impact?

  4. Postpublished at 59 mins

    Peterborough 0-0 West Brom

    Great save!

Posh goalkeeper Christy Pym shows superb reflexes to keep out a fine header from Jordan Hugill.

It was headed down powerfully but Pym parried clear. Semi Ajayi runs on to the rebound and hits the left post.

Best passage of play in this match so far.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 57 mins

    Peterborough 0-0 West Brom

Half-cleared by Posh and they win a throw-in for Darnell Furlong to try and launch.

A change meanwhile for the visitors sees Grady Diangana make way and hand loanee Jordan Hugill a debut.

Furlong's long throw-in nearly works out but Peterborough head clear inside their six-yard box.

  6. Postpublished at 56 mins

    Peterborough 0-0 West Brom

Christy Pym punches clear the next corner from Darnell Furlong but it goes behind for a third in a row for the Baggies.

  7. Postpublished at 55 mins

    Peterborough 0-0 West Brom

West Brom building some momentum now as Grady Diangana wins a corner down the right.

Alex Mowatt takes it and causes a bit of alarm for Christy Pym under his own crossbar.

Nathan Thompson heads it behind for another.

  8. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Peterborough 0-0 West Brom

West Brom try to get a couple of counter attacks going but there is some grit and determination at the back from Peterborough.

Nathan Thompson goes in with some meaty tackles to deny Karlan Grant a chance to fashion a through ball.

  9. Postpublished at 49 mins

    Peterborough 0-0 West Brom

Darnell Furlong does tremendously well to hook the ball into the danger area from the right just as it looked like going out.

Christy Pym has to scramble for it at the feet of Matt Phillips who goes to ground.

Most of the ambitious penalty appeals seem to come from the Baggies fans behind the goal.

What are you making of this towelgate involving West Brom?

All a bit of fuss over nothing or are sides within their right to prevent the Baggies from using them to gain an advantage on the long throw-ins.

Well, I'm pleased to say there have been goals going in across the Championship today in the earlier fixtures.

Let's bring you up to speed if you weren't with us a little earlier...

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:51 British Summer Time 28 August 2021

    Peterborough 0-0 West Brom

And that ends a largely uneventful first half at London Road.

Chances few and very far between for both sides.

Let's hope it improves after the break.

  16. Postpublished at 45+3 mins

    Peterborough 0-0 West Brom

Darnell Furlong uses his shirt to wipe down the ball and launch one of his long throw-ins for the first time tonight.

    Doesn't really produce any threat.

  17. INJURY TIMEpublished at 45 mins

    Peterborough 0-0 West Brom

Into three minutes of added time at the end of this first half as both sides almost open the other's defence up on the break.

Matty Phillips' diagonal ball is cut out before again Harrison Burrows lines up a shot from distance for Posh that is deflected wide for a corner.

  18. Postpublished at 44 mins

    Peterborough 0-0 West Brom

Bit of head tennis going on around the edge of West Brom's box before it drops for Harrison Burrows to try his luck on the half-volley.

It's skewed wide left by the Posh wing-back.

  19. Postpublished at 41 mins

Less than five minutes until the break.

The crowd somewhat hushed after being a bit lively earlier in the half.

West Brom brought any towels with them tonight?
