The South Korea forward joined from RB Leipzig on a season-long loan yesterday with an option to buy.

He becomes Wolves' sixth summer signing under new boss Lage.

Would've been good to get Kane (not at all bothered about Ronaldo) but having won our last two games with an aggregate score of 10-0 I remain reasonably confident City won't struggle for goals this season.

  14. Burnley eye Wales defender Robertspublished at 13:15 British Summer Time 30 August 2021

Burnley could move for Swansea City's Wales defender Connor Roberts ahead of Tuesday's transfer deadline.

Roberts, 25, has been on Burnley's radar all summer and will be available for a cut-price fee as his Swansea contract expires next summer.

Academy product Roberts is a firm favourite at Swansea having made 152 appearances for his local club.

But a move away has looked a strong possibility since Swansea were beaten in May's Championship play-off final.

Not much needed at Newcastle but if we could just get a ball playing centre half...actually make that two. Oh and a couple of wingers, and maybe a defensive midfielder. Another striker would be nice and, yeah, a couple of full backs. A goalkeeper, we definitely could do with a decent keeper. As I said, not much really.

    Ken, Newcastle

Yep not much needed then, Ken.

  16. Everton in Luis Diaz talks as Moise Kean closes on Juventus returnpublished at 13:04 British Summer Time 30 August 2021

    Phil McNulty
    BBC Sport chief football writer

Everton remain in talks with Porto over a deal to sign Colombian forward Luis Diaz as Moise Kean moves nearer to a return to Juventus.

Manager Rafael Benitez is keen to strengthen his squad before the transfer window closes and Everton want to include Diaz's out-of-favour Colombia team-mate James Rodriguez in a package worth more than £20m.

Porto are reluctant to sell Diaz as they regard the 24-year-old as key component of their forthcoming Champions League campaign, where they face Liverpool in the group stage, while Everton are keen to offload James, and his expensive salary, after Benitez made it clear he does not figure in his plans.

Time is running out to complete the switch but discussion are ongoing as Everton weigh up several moves.

Kean, meanwhile, was undergoing a medical in Turin before completing a loan move back to Juventus with an obligation for the Italian giants to sign the 21-year-old on a permanent basis next summer.

The Italy striker has failed to establish himself since joining Everton for £27m in August 2019, although he enjoyed a successful spell on loan at Paris St. Germain last season.

Everton have also had a second offer, believed to be worth around £8m, rejected for Rangers' 19-year-old right-back Nathan Patterson.

  18. Everton want Maitland-Niles on loanpublished at 12:52 British Summer Time 30 August 2021

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport

Everton are trying to complete a deal to sign Ainsley Maitland-Niles from Arsenal.

If the transfer is concluded it is understood it would likely be an initial loan with an option to buy.

Maitland-Niles impressed during a loan stint at West Brom last season but there was no chance of his time at the Hawthorns being extended once the club were relegated to the Championship.

The 24-year-old England international made his first Premier League appearance of the season as a substitute in Arsenal’s 5-0 defeat at Manchester City.
